The view was great but that was about all that was nice at this property . The worst part was the terrible mildew smell inside the home that was one of the first things we noticed . The kids bedroom had a strong smell of cat urine. The sliding glass door in that bedroom had brown mud or maybe something else. Blinds were broken and parts missing in the one of the kids bedroom . There were tons of dead flies in the living room that I swept up. The shower didn’t drain well and instead of a shower rod it was held up with pvc pipe. Toilet not secured at base and was wobbly. Hanging above one of the beds was held up with duct tape .Not all the lights were working so it was dark. Not enough large pots to make dinner. The central ac did not work well. I usually don’t write reviews but there are a lot of things that should be improved upon.

The whole house stunk. Had to buy candles. Standing water in the dishwasher- not handicap accessible- mice and roaches , item broken
The stay was amazing. Beautiful location and view. The house is a little older but we loved it and very well decorated on the inside and the privacy is outstanding. Was a short walk to the lake and a very well groomed pathway. The walkway is a little challenge due to the steep hill but they have provided the best they could. For us it just added to our normal morning walks. There was deer on the property. The fishing was great.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're glad to hear you had an amazing stay and enjoyed the beautiful location, peaceful privacy, and the charm of the home. It sounds like the walk to the lake and spotting deer on the property made for a memorable experience — and great to hear the fishing didn’t disappoint! We’d love to host you again whenever you’re ready for another getaway.

The views were nice. The checkin was a bit of a hassle. We didn’t get the email with the door code and the management company didn’t respond to the message I sent. The kitchen had several plugs that didn’t work, the ceiling fan in the living room didn’t work either. The house did have a strange old/musty smell. Over priced for what you get imo but I guess you’re paying for the views.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the views, though we're sorry to hear about the check-in issues and maintenance concerns. That’s not the experience we want for our guests, and we’re addressing these items with our team. We appreciate your honesty as it helps us improve.

The view was amazing but unfortunately the air in the home never got below 75 degrees. We were in contact with our host the entire time and sending pics of the thermostat. The issue never got resolved. We had to go buy fans to manage the heat. Hopefully the issue will be resolved before the next renters arrive. Usually I never post a review but I want to make sure the next renters check to make sure the issue is resolved before booking.

Disappointing House w/Nice View
We were disappointed in the house and felt like guinea pigs and the first ones trying out this property for rental. Our family felt like little if anything was done to accommodate guests. We really felt un-welcomed. Issues below:
• There were chimney swifts or bats in the chimney, hard to watch TV with noise every 15-30 minutes and they smelled
• The house has a mothball type smell
• The AC in kitchen/dining room had no noticeable air coming from the vents
• No light in the master shower
• Had to look through all kitchen cabinets for a pan and never found one. After the first breakfast using a wok for scrambled eggs on an electric stove we decided to go out to eat for the other meals due to lack of kitchen hardware
• Drawers in the kitchen almost fell out when opened and were jammed full of utensils.
• One wine glass
• The shower in second bath intermittently working
• Mice in the house running from dishwasher to dining room
• The primary bedroom door to deck was stuck
• The fan in the master bedroom was very unbalanced and kept us up
• The bed was super squeaky and woke up the other person when moving
• Master toilet loose, wobbled and felt like something was going to break when sat on
• There was no binder with info on amenities and how to work TV etc, typically seen at most VRBOs so we had to trial and error the TV
• Trash cans at street were full when we arrived and there was little room for us to place our trash, so we took it with us

Not ready for prime time
Pre check-in was troublesome for some reason, took a bit of time to straighten out the rental agreement!
Check in was easy, upon arrival we noticed an unpleasant smell, like the house had been closed up for sometime, house was not very clean, kitchen sink was filthy, as well as lots of cob webs throughout. Property needs a thorough cleaning!
Beds were old and uncomfortable! As my wife described, like sleeping on a lumpy hammock!
Since the weather was hot, the Air Conditioner could not keep the house very cool, especially the living areas. Bedrooms were a bit cooler, thankfully.
We called the property management group and they contacted the owner, the owner and AirConditioner repairman can by, they were at property a short while. Not sure they did much, house never got very cool.
Overall was a disappointment! Ive used VRBO many times in the past, this was the only time I was very disappointed!
The property needs work, needs to be updated, needs repairs to plumbing. Master bath sinks barely had any water flow.
Kitchen was not very well equipped.
Our group decided, we must have been the first renters of this property.
We met the owner, was a very nice gentleman, we offered a bit of advice. He needs to do quite a bit of work if he wants to be successful!!
As I stated in the title. This property is not ready to be rented out. Repairs and a through cleaning is needed if owner hopes to have success!
I would NOT RECOMMEND this property!
