Summer family weekend
Great property for adults. Lovely Beach is 10 minute walk away for adults and a frisbee golf site. Great dishwasher, fridge, dishes, coffeemaker, no mixer, a great barbeque etc.. The house can use a new kitchen tap, a variety of complete fun games, and a different variety of videos. If you have children bring a wagon or drive to the beach! The garage is not childproof, although it has some water toys for children and two wiener sticks. You will find linens in the linen closet behind the master bathroom door!! Instructions were to find linens would have been very welcome. Due to a broken mattress, it sleeps 8 not nine. Unless you bring your own 9th mattress or cot.

Great family vacation
We spent 8 night here. It was great. The walk thru the trees to the beach is only about 7 min. It’s scenic and shaded. For those of you who like some exercise continue from the beach to the marina and you will discover a fitness area half way. Great place for a workout. Host was very response and accommodating. Highly recommend

Not Great But Did The Job
The property itself isn't bad. The rooms were tidy and as advertised. The hose was broken and there was only one outlet outside that worked which was a bit frustrating as I had specifically written to Colin asking about bringing our trailers out there. Communication with Colin wasn't my favourite. He generally didn't seem to know much about the property - like where outlets were and why they wouldn't be working. He sent a bit of a rude message to us halfway through accusing us of having people sleeping in vehicles outside of the property (like - what?!) and chose to tell us at that time that vehicles weren't allowed to be parked on the road (our boat was on the road as there were no slips available at the whole lake). We had NO IDEA that no parking on the road was in the bylaws - in fact, Colin didn't make us aware of any rules or bylaws, even though we had animals etc. Basically, communication was just really lacking. The property has no trees and is basically a field next to a field. Overall, the cabin did what we needed it to do. Oh! The walk to the water - haha. Not 5-10 minutes! I am a fit 35 year old woman and it took me at least 14 minutes, not carrying anything and alone with no children. We drove every day.

Money grab and no privacy - amazing
We were very grateful to book the cabin on very short notice as our reservations elsewhere were cancelled at the last minute due to flooding in the area. We went to great lengths prior to booking to ensure the landlord was fully aware that the rental was to accommodate a family reunion that we estimated could be 21 people (18 adults, 2 elementary aged children, 1 newborn). The landlord advised that the property manager hadn't been in yet to set up for the season and that the lawn might be long. He also advised that patio furniture bought for the property was unassembled and in boxes in the garage. He said that if we wanted and brought tools, we could do the assembly and also cut the grass. As per the landlord's request, our group of 18 stayed outside the cabin for the bulk of the time. Also, as per our arrangement, 4 adults and 3 children slept in the cabin and we had 1 pull behind trailer and 1 tent on the property with other folks staying elsewhere around the lake. After our departure, the landlord changed our credit card an additional $250 for restocking of the toilet paper, paper towels, soap and garbage bags that he said we 'stole'. We thought this was ridiculous and insulting and above and beyond the day rate specified, hostess fees, cleaning fee, pet fee and service fee that were paid as part of the cost for the 3 day rental. The products supplied by the landlord / property manager were minimal. Without so much as a discussion, the landlord charged our credit card $250 to refurnish the necessities that weren't sufficiently provided in the first place. He also failed to say thanks for mowing his grass or for us assembling the 6 patio chairs and table.

We currently live in Calgary Ab and use the property as a recreational property in the summers. We are looking to rent it out when we are not using to offset some of the costs. We built this property in 2012 and love spending time out there.
