About this property

Private & restful; quiet 2 bedroom suite in Duncan

Private, quiet, and peaceful; our rural suite takes in the views of Maple Mountain's tree-top forest. Complimentary Telus optic TV with the sports package and high speed wifi.

Located in Maple Bay within walking distance of the beach, tennis/pickleball courts, and local pub. You will sleep restfully in the king-size bed with down bedding; there is a second bedroom with two twin beds for those travelling with family or friends, and a pull out foam floor mattress for a fifth guest. Both rooms have light-filtering privacy blinds and black out curtains.

The full kitchen has everything you need, including condiments and breakfast items. There is a full sized BBQ on the private deck. Enjoy a hot rain shower before savouring your tea or Nespresso coffee on the balcony overlooking the Arbutus and Garry Oak forest.

Parking is free and safe, and the suite has a washer and dryer with laundry detergent and cleaning supplies. The bathroom has everything you need, including soap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner.

A 10-minute walk will take you to the tennis and pickleball courts, and a 20-minute walk will take you to the ocean beach, where our local pub, The Lion Rampant, is conveniently located. Behind the property is a municipality-maintained hike that takes you to the top of Maple Mountain with views of Maple Bay and Salt Spring Island. A short drive will take you to the popular mountain bike trails on Maple Mountain (https://www.ridecowichan.com/maple).

Erika is a wonderful host. She's welcoming and thoughtful and accommodating. She went out of her way to make sure we have breakfast and coffee supplies when we arrived, and was responsive to questions throughout the stay. What a gorgeous place to stay! Our unit was immaculate, bright with natural light, very tastefully decorated with all new contents. The only caveat I had was a guest must have a vehicle and the drive way was steep. We very very much enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this unit and host

One of our best VRBO stays

We loved our stay here! Accommodations were incredibly clean and fresh. Beds were very comfortable. Unit was fully stocked with anything you might need for kitchen, bath, bedrooms. Even had cozy lap blankets for sitting out on the porch in the evening. Host was incredibly responsive. Would highly recommend!

Awesome treehouse stay

We loved everything about this place. It was quiet and peaceful. The unit had everything we needed. We used the dog park down the street and enjoyed lunch at the rampart pub nearby. Erika and Brennan were super hosts. Ferry in Crofton nearby was helpful for our day trip to Saltspring.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would! Sparkling, brand-spanking-new, pristine—just a few words to describe the furnishings, kitchen, bath, and linens. The king bed was comfy, and we didn’t use the charming second BR. The outdoor porch afforded Mountain View’s.for late evening snacks. Buster the pup added cuddles and fun. The ferry to Saltspring Island was 10 minutes away and we enjoyed a day there. This is a fabulous place to stay. Highly recommended!!

Perfect Family Get-Away

This lovely place to restore was quiet, well-cared for and comfortable, with lots of attention to detail. Pet-friendly, small child friendly (baby gates and high chair provided), there was room enough for 6 adults to eat and hang out in the evening. The outdoor porch was spacious with a beautiful mountain view. The kitchen was especially well-appointed, and cooking meals was a pleasure. Nice cool temperature was appreciated during the 4 days of heat wave the week we were there. Super hiking close by. We didn't want to leave and hope to come back soon.
