Room was clean. View was better than described. There is noise from the sea lions which hangout on the bay below and from a working bay front but we loved the sounds. Amazing location. There are steep stairs getting into the room which leads to an amazing view but if stairs aren’t your thing then this is not the place for you.

This studio was a nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay while we explored this portion of the Oregon Coast for two days. We enjoyed walking the bay front, and the food at Clearwater (35 steps away) was exceptionally good. Rogue Brewing no longer exists, but Claim 52 is a new brewery with good craft beers and decent pub grub. Make a point to get a fresh-dipped ice cream bar at the Sea Lion Dockside Bar next door to the condo. They have coffee and a shop as well.Fare warning, the sea lions were numerous and loud, barking all the time, right below our balcony. But the sound machine did drown them out. The provided ear plugs helped too. My wife didn't like the sound machine, so the second night we went with running the box fan and using ear plugs, and we slept just fine.It's worth noting that while the property listing states "parking available," you have to pay for parking on the street or in lots. There is free parking across the street but that asphalt lot is on a very steep grade, thus free. We're in our mid 60s and handled it fine, but anyone with the slightest mobility issues should avoid that lot. There is a free 60-minute loading spot right in front of the condo building, which was very helpful.

Worth the sea lions

Great location. Clean room. Amazing view. Responsive host. No table. No cute red patio chairs that were in all the marketing photos. Read the stuff about the freaking sea lions barking all night long. They offer ear plugs which helped.

Cute, but noisy!

Ok, this was a charming room with a great view. But… the stairs getting to it are Steep! The little fireplace has a pilot light that is always on, which makes you have to sleep with the door open, which makes it so you can really REALLY hear the sea lions. With the door shut, it cuts the noise by quite a bit. But they honk and snarl all night, and the room is hot because of the fireplace. So door open. The tub was awesome, and the view was great. We accidentally left our laptop and the staff worked their hineys off to help us.

A wonderful stay in the heart of the Newport waterfront.

We enjoyed our weekend stay thoroughly - the view was great, the room was clean, and had all the amenities we wanted (a coffee maker, fridge, microwave aren't shown in the photos but they're there). It took a little getting used to the seals and sea lions next door who bark all hours of the day, but after the first day it was just background noise. I recommend putting the fan that's in the closet in the doorway during the day to bring in the cooler air so you can close the door at night. It was super nice to relax in the tub and stare off the patio. You're right in the middle of the action once you step out the door, the dive bar across the street was great and there were great restaurants all over the place. I would recommend this place to anyone!
