About this property
Goodie Goodwood Family Home
Be spoilt for choice in this architect designed family haven where you’re surrounded by amazing café destinations.
Designed with the bedrooms upstairs and living downstairs, you’ll love the north facing warmth of the open plan living and dining area with its bi-fold doors onto the covered alfresco area and barbecue; you’ll love the shine of the fresh glossy kitchen, but most of all, you’ll love retreating upstairs with its cathedral ceilings creating volumes of space in the oversized bedrooms.
Our place is designed to make your family feel relaxed, ready to enjoy your holiday. Using the smallest attention to detail to bring you a home that makes us proud, from the directional lights on the artwork, to using Zero Co shampoo products– a company that saves plastic from the ocean to make their bottles, we create a family experience that’s both relaxing, environmental friendly and packed with holiday activity.
Warm with its neutral palette of polished floorboards, timber blinds, ambient lighting and earthy ochre feature walls, you’ll love stepping into this home to enjoy its easy care feel and sun filled warmth. The architectural qualities include cathedral ceilings, a floating stair landing that elongates into the TV area of the living space and the zoned layout.
The kitchen is jam packed full of family essentials including a walk in pantry that stores the high chair, if required. The host has ensured your family feels welcome with children’s plastic tableware, books and toys, as well as safety needs including temperature controlled continuous hot water. To complete your day, a Delonghi Nespresso coffee machine.
The bi-fold doors separating inside and out have retractable flyscreens to keep the bugs at bay. The bedrooms are big and cater for families of all sizes including the main bedroom with a king size bed, wall of robes, TV and ensuite; a 2nd king-size bedroom, and the 3rd bedroom with bunk beds.
The bathrooms are very chic and luxurious. A full size laundry makes your stay even easier with its washer and dryer. The kids can play safely in the sun on the mod-grass lawn or undercover on the patio, while the north facing courtyard makes it a great place for afternoon barbecues.
Goodwood is a fabulous suburb on the edge of Hyde Park, giving you both the Hyde Park café culture and the Goodwood convenience.
King William Road in Hyde Park offers you everything from health food cafes to Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Greek, pizza, wine bars, and the Blue Lagoon Float and Spa, while Goodwood Road is home to the Art Deco beauty of the Capri Theatre, Ginger’s Vintage Lounge Bar and the Eggless Dessert Café, with the convenience of an IGA supermarket.
Check out the Suburban Brew Tap Room, or take the kids to Soutar Park for some play time. For something a little more challenging, try the TreeClimb Adelaide at the glorious Blue Gum Park or take the 25 minute drive to the Morialta Conservation Park to explore misty waterfalls, rugged ridges and quiet woodlands, or maybe the half hour drive to the Garden Island Ships’ Graveyard near Torrens Island will bring on a day of fun (it might even lead to a kayak with the dolphins).
Only 3 kilometres from the heart of Adelaide, you can pack a day visiting all the amazing parks surrounding the capital, go to the Adelaide Central Market, check out the Adelaide 500, an AFL match, international cricket or a star-studded line up of concerts, festivals and events that make Adelaide more than just the City of Churches, it’s a family fun city with so much to explore.
Goodwood is 3 kilometres south of Adelaide CBD making it easily accessible by train, bus, taxi and Uber, while less than 10 kilometres from Adelaide International Airport.
This property is a 1.5 kilometre walk to Goodwood train station and the 200 bus route is on King William Road taking you into the city or the Marion Centre and runs every half hour. There is parking in the drive if you bring your own car.
