Budget-friendly vacation rental

Two bath budget-friendly cottage located two blocks from the beach, shopping and restaurants. Living room has a fireplace and a front porch for relaxing! Great family cottage. Both bathrooms have a shower only. 242CL

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

Needs heat

Everything was great other than there was no heat provided and it was freezing. After the first night we were able to light a fire, but we had to buy our own wood and there were no fireplace tools so not super easy.

Close to the beach

The gas oven needs to be checked and repaired, gas leak when in use and entire house smells of gas. We had the Avalon Fire Dept come out to check. Also water heater makes a loud vibrating rumbling sound when heating water, sounds like a truck coming in the house. Otherwise typical Catalina rental and would recommend if repairs are made.

Comfortable Cottage

The house was fine, it was the last available for the last minute dates we needed. House is clean enough, just wear your shoes the entire time you are in the house. Has everything you need for a comfortable affordable stay. Towels, blankets, kitchen items all there. It's Catalina, how much time are you actually in the house? We were surprised it didn't have WIFI and the TV situation is comical but again, how much time do you spend in the house? All that said, we would stay there again, it's not the Ritz but it's comfortable and we had a great trip.

The stay was pleasant and location was excellent for what ever we wanted to do. Only thing is TV remote was not working and there was no WiFi in the property. Those are the two things which can be improved. Therefore the score on amenities is given low.

House is beatiful is on great loaction Unfortunaly need more attention to details like better cleaning specially the bed sheets a lot dust around the house we had a lot problems with toilets ,showers, is a good house just need more attention
