Beautiful place, well equipped and very comfortable inside. It’s proximity to Cavendish made it very convenient, yet it felt very peaceful tucked away on the water. Would stay again!
The house was beautiful and exactly as advertised. Nice open floor plan and very clean which is a must for me. The beds were extremely comfy as well which is an added bonus.

Hi Kristy we appreciate the wonderful comments and for leaving the Paddlehouse in such great condition before you left. Hopefully you can join us again in the summer months. Thank you again! Brian and Wendy
This was our first time to PEI and we absolutely loved it! The house was in a great location; close to lots of beaches for exploring and watching sunrises and sunsets. There are so many great restaurants to try close by. And if you like cycling, you’re close to the Trans Canada trails.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Appreciate you leaving the house in great condition. You are welcome back anytime! Have a great summer!
Excellent location and beautiful house for family and friends. We stayed her for 4 days during our daughter’s wedding weekend at nearby Carriage House!
The house is spacious with a lot of open space and a large backyard. Perfect location if you want to take all the Anne of Green Gables sights. The house is secluded but easy to get to, and directly on the water so kids can hunt for crabs and shells in the morning. Would definitely be back.
Everything about this property helped my family and I relax and enjoy our vacation. The home was close to the locations we wanted to visit. The extra items like kayaks and stand-up paddle board were enjoyable. There was plenty of space to run in the backyard between the house and the waterfront. One evening the sky was so clear the milky way was easy to spot. We would seek out this property again if we visit Prince Edward Island in the future.

The Paddle House was a perfect get away for our entire family! It was very well equipped with all the essentials. The sunroom was a perfect games room and the horseshoes are a family favourite.
We appreciated how clean the property was and appreciated having the washer and dryer .
We certainly will be planning another holiday here!
We had a wonderful vacation at the Paddle House. This amazing home is pristine, very well appointed with beautiful furnishings and attention to detail. It has everything we could ever imagine both inside and outside for the most enjoyable summer holiday. The property is quite large with floor to ceiling windows over looking the water, cathedral ceilings, an amazing screened in sunroom and dining area, decks, fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The sunsets are remarkable. Brian and Wendy are incredible hosts. Communication with them before during and after our visit was excellent. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for a wonderful holiday @ the Paddle House

We loved our holiday at Paddle house ! We are a party of 4 adults and 3 children, and every one liked the amenities and location. We slept very well. The house is brand new and every details are worthy. They thought of everything so our stay was uneventful. Cavendish is only a 7 minutes drive with plenty to offer for the whole family to discover IPE's best attraction.
Many thanks for this wonderful holiday ! we highly recommand for a family trip.
Our first time visiting PEI and we sure lucked out in picking this wonderful quiet and peaceful vacation home! Beautiful, bright, well appointed with cozy bedding and super comfortable beds as well as a fully stocked kitchen, the list goes on.
We enjoyed the kayaks, and the fire pit and games of horseshoes. When we could drag ourselves away from the beautiful sunsets, the location was so close to everything from beaches to golf to ice cream parlours we were thoroughly entertained. Cavendish is a hop skip and a jump away. Can’t say enough about this wonderful home. We will be back with the family and gran kids as it is also perfectly set up for that. Thank you so much!
The property and amenities were stunning, my daughter commented that the pictures do not give the place justice.
My family took full advantage of the shore, kayaks, fire pit and home. My wife is a fan of Anne of Green Gabbles, so it was a pleasure for her to be so close to the birthplace of Lucy Maude Montgomery, and walk the shore and fields that created so much inspiration for the author.
The only issue some of my family members were concerned about, was the spider population on the home. A few of us brave soles armed with brooms and hoses did the daily cleanup, allowing our ladies to be comfortable.
Our recent stay at this beautiful property on PEI was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning views of the coastline and the warm, welcoming ambiance of the house.
Location:
The location is ideal – situated close to the beach, we enjoyed daily walks along the shoreline and breathtaking sunsets. It’s also conveniently located near charming local shops and restaurants, giving us a taste of the local culture without having to travel far.
Accommodation:
The house itself is spacious, immaculate, and tastefully decorated. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, making it easy to prepare meals. We particularly loved the open-plan living area, which was perfect for family gatherings and enjoying the view through the large windows.
Host:
Our host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, providing us with all the information we needed before our arrival and checking in with us during our stay to ensure everything was perfect. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!
Thank you for being great guests Marc and for that lovely parting gift. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the Paddlehouse and welcomed back anytime.
About the host
Hosted by Brian Joyce
Brian and Wendy Joyce have been planning this vacation home since 2021. Wendy is originally from PEI but now resides in Ontario with Brian. Brian and Wendy have been coming to PEI for the last 25 years and love the relaxing vibe and beautiful scenery of the island. We love to hear about the enjoyable time families get to spend at our special place and how they love the sunsets, roast marsh mellows around the fire and enjoy kayaking up the Southwest river.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is beautifully situated along the Southwest river close to the ocean and Prince Edward Island National Park. The large backyard is situated along the shore with stairs leading down to the beach. As there are no other stairs down to the water you have the whole shoreline to yourself to walk and explore or take a kayak out for a spin.
What makes this property unique
Our beautiful sunsets and almost 2 acres of land allow children to run and explore. Horseshoes and ring toss around the firepit provides entertainment for the whole family. A screened-in sunroom will give you a full view of the property while keeping you safe from the bugs in the evening.
