Property was neat and clean. Even though pet friendly there was no pet oder. The cabin was so well stocked even beyond what was stated. The space was so well utilized, and arranged perfectly. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect for a couples getaway!
We absolutely loved this home. We loved the location and being off the beaten path, but still close enough to go out if you’d like too. The bed and pillows were so soft. We had great nights sleep
This was our first family vacation and we had such a lovely time at this cabin! The location was perfect and the cabin was very clean and had everything you would need for your stay. The check in process was very easy and we would 100% stay here again! Also dog friendly and even had a cute water and food bowl for the pup!
Super Clean Home,We could not have ask for more,We had a little problem getting in but the host Amy was right on top of the problem, We hated that we had to leave, But I can guarantee that we'll be back
We had a great time! Cabin is small but perfect for a couple. We had a little bit of an issue getting in, but it is in the mountains - sometimes the WiFi is delayed. When we contacted the host, we immediately were able to access the cabin. Had everything we needed - close to all the area attractions!
We had a wonderful time staying in this mountain cabin. The cabin is just as advertised on the listing. The coffee bar and screened in porch were some of my favorite amenities. We loved being close to the hustle & bustle of the city, but far enough away to enjoy peaceful mountain nights. The hosts were very helpful in the check in process and respond to all questions in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again; highly recommend.
Totally over the moon about this cabin !!! It has everything your heart desires !! The host Amy & her husband are truly amazing. They were fast at responding & answering any questions. Rest A While is a dream cabin that warms your soul . The lay out is wonderful it has a log cabin farm house feel . It has so many charming extras . Our stay was a true blessing !!!
Wonderful! Relaxing, and peaceful.. We would stay again and again. The screened in porch was a place you can rest and have coffee and let the morning go by. I would recommend this place for the perfect couples get away. The bed was comfortable and the two bathrooms were very nice. 5 Stars for us!
Loved that I could have my dogs with NOT huge fees. Bed was really extremely comfy (totally over slept a couple of times :), hot tub was much needed, fireplace was nice, 2 full bathrooms, and property owner was a phone call away. Everything we needed was provided, easy in, easy out, and just minutes from tons of fun! I planned last minute and was lucky my days were the only open dates. Great 5 nights away!
We had the most relaxing vacation ever at Rest Awile. The king sized bed was so comfy you didn't want to leave it! The kitchen was fully equipped, after a trip to the grocery store we made most of our meals at the cabin. Lots of great information left on attractions and things to do in the area. The hot tub was a great bonus as well. As were the local bears. :)
First the cabin: I would give the cabin 4.9 stars. My only suggestion would be to move the DVD player to the living room. Also we ran out of toilet paper, not a big deal. The cabin was an incredible place to stay my wife and I loved it and it was good for our dog as well as he had fun.
Need to know before you go:
1. The roads to the cabin are glorified goat trails. These are the mountains and the roads are narrow and steep, but paved.
2. Do not use the address, use the name of the cabin.
3. Try to get there during the day. Area is dark and can be difficult to see.
4. The “yard” is smaller than the pictures show but again no big deal.
The owner is awesome, the cabin, is excellent. The hot tub, bed kitchen and everything else was superb. My wife, dog, and I will be back to this cabin (although it rained all weekend long 😒)
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary this year and took my 8 lbs fur baby with us. So many great things about this little spot that far out weight the not so desirable things.Pros: 1. The location is super convenient to the parkway and tons of great attractions and restaurants. 2. The cabin is quite possibly the cleanest cabin we have EVER stayed in! 3. The bed was amazing! We got great sleep! 4. Hot tub was clean! 5. Plenty of starter paper products 6. We were able to stream our own Netflix and it was set up to auto log out the day of check out (no worrying about staying logged in ) 7. Nice big mounted TVs/relaxing spaceCons: 1. Cabin was much smaller than we anticipated by pics but PERFECT for a couples getaway. 2. Drive way to the cabin was very difficult to navigate in our big suv. Sharp turns to get out. Getting in wasn’t quite so bad. 3. Bees/wasps on the porch. As someone with an allergy this caused some anxiety for me. I had my epi pen handy. This is of no fault to the hosts..but something to keep in mind if you have a severe allergy. 4. Steps and walk way into the cabin are uneven. On our last full day here I busted it (slippery when wet). Thankfully was at the end of our trip as I am still badly bruised and sore. Use extra caution on the steps and rocks There isn’t a big space for a pet walk which was no issue for us as our dog is tiny. The hosts did leave pet supplies (treats and waste bags) which I thought was super thoughtful!
Cabin was clean and accommodating and well stocked. King sized bed was really comfortable. Our only complaint was the view was not what we have had at other cabins.
Very nice trip we had a great time, the cabin was beautiful and everything was put together so nicely. My doggies emjoyed themselves too! The driveway has a pretty sharp turn into it from the right. So if you have a bigger vehicle you will have to go in the driveway a certain way like we did.
The cabin was so cute and had everything we needed. The location was private with beautiful scenery and wildlife. The owners were very responsive and had a lovely anniversary treat for us when we arrived!
The drive was a bit rough at first but after doing it the first time it was simple. It was very quiet and had everything we needed for a very relaxing vacation.
It was perfect! Exactly what we needed. The only issue we had was being in the mountains there were no "grassy areas" to walk the dogs; which obviously was not something the owners can change. We had a blast and so did our fur babies.
The property owners made themselves readily available anytime we had a question. You couldn't ask for better people.
