I have been renting for 7 years on two other lakes. The last 5 years on Silver Lake and this is the best place to rent for us. We all want to come back for future stays.

Great house, great lake

We enjoyed this spacious lake house and the sandy beach was amazing. The lake is perfect for swimming and boating. It is on Hwy 73, so there are loud trucks that speed by. We were surprised that we had to bring sheets, towels, garbage bags, dish and hand soap and toilet paper. That’s pretty unusual, considering the price, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Silver lake stay

Place is great for a large group. Excellent beach area. The only downside is a highway right near the property so lots of truck noise at all times.

Fun Getaway

A group of us wanted to get away from Chicago and I came across Mary Jane's property. It was right on the lake which was fun, cottage was clean and spacious and was also close to grocery stores and restaurants. Mary Jane is also very responsive. We had a blast at the property. Thanks!

Nice location but bring your own sheets

The house is in a nice location and has some upgrade renovations completed. No bathroom upstairs though. Nice size kitchen. Sheets are not provided which we didn't catch in the rental agreement. Very close to the boat landing if you rent a boat.

Thank you for your comments. Yes, we agree, our location is great, we are in one of the best spots on the lake. I am sorry about the sheet misunderstanding. I did mail and email you rental instructions that highlighted that we do not provide sheets and I included a layout of our bedrooms with what size sheets to bring for planning. We do not provide sheets due to the fact that our property sleeps 21 with 15 beds; we want our cleaning service to focus on keeping our property sparkling clean while keeping the turnover time between renters to a minimum. Changing sheets requires a much longer turnover between renters and our main goal is to maximize our renters stay on Silver Lake.

Just what we wanted and more!

This was our first visit to this cottage home and we could not have been more satisfied. Our family, including six grandchildren found the home, beach and lake perfect for our vacation. The owner was helpful and friendly. We hope to return for years to come.
