The property was okay but the management that looked after it ripped us off. The body corporate had organised painters to do the balconies and they just showed up no warning. They just came onto the balcony and started working with no warning or letting us know they were there and started at 7am making noise sanding and scraping off the old paint . If we had known we wouldn’t have stayed. We were not even informed this was going to be happening when we booked. We had two days of noise and dust and couldn’t use the balcony at all or open doors for fresh air due to dust. We still had another week to go. Contacted bribie hub who managed property and the tried to find us alternative accommodation non suitable for our needs. So we decided to cut our stay short as painting was going to continue for another week the time of our stay. We got no compensation for the problem and was charged cleaning fees so didn’t even get one full week back. Cleaning fees were included in price and we had been there only one of two weeks. They offered compensation and then withdrew it as we didn’t take up one of there other options It was not our fault what they offered was not suitable for our needs.So we went to first national and rented another apartment and had a much better time. Be sure you check your rights as we believe we should have at least got all our money back for the second week and compensation for the two days we had to put up with the dust and noise.
