White Lake House is a tranquil and quiet retreat. Although this property is not on the water, it has beautiful views of White Lake's turquoise water. Sit on the porch and watch all of the lake activity, cozy in and read a book or, via various lake accesses, swim, paddle board, kayak, or boat. In addition to water activities, the area also has hiking, biking, golf, or small communities to explore. Sorrento and Shuswap Lake are a 10 min drive while Salmon Arm and Adams Lake/River are 20 mins. Perhaps even a stop at a winery or restaurant.
White Lake House is a cozy 1100 square foot space with a quaint full kitchen, two spacious and nicely appointed bedrooms (1 being a loft), 2 full bathrooms (1 with a tub), a comfortable living room with a fireplace, dining area, and a large porch overlooking the lake. The gardens are calming, and the property is private enough to have an outside shower! We also have a clothesline to easily dry all of your wet clothes and towels.
Although we don't have lake access, it is only a 5 minute drive to three public accesses that we outline in our property book.
In addition to the house and outside shower, there are beautiful gardens and a grass space to play bocce or badminton. When fires are allowed, there is a fire pit to enjoy. There is a lovely rose garden, and depending on the season, many other flowers blooming or fruit trees budding. There are other buildings on the property where we stay when we are on property that fit into the decor, and both spaces are private from each other.
The driveway is steep, in the summer it is accessible by most vehicles but in the winter AWD or 4WD would be a requirement. If you bring your boat, we have a parking spot at the bottom where you could store it.
This property is ideal for a family of 3-5; one or two couples: two couples with 1 child. You might come to White Lake for amazing fishing or to visit family/friends in the area but wanting your own space. Whoever you are, we are excited to host you and have you experience a bit of White Lake magic!
The main house has three beds: a queen in the loft and a bunk bed (single up top and double on the bottom) on the main floor. Technically the single bunk shouldn't have anyone who weighs more than 100 lbs. To accommodate additional guests or a more roomy configuration, we have a double bed in an out building available upon request for an additional cost, please enquire at the time of booking.

Beautiful home with view of the lake, was a very relaxing place to spend our long weekend! The garden was beautiful, and really enjoyed the covered porch in the evenings.

I was told it was a five minute drive to the water, but it’s quite a bit longer than that. Overall the cabin itself is lovely. Outdoor space was great great view of the lake while having a fire. You have to text a person who will meet you at the property to let you in. This is challenging in a very poor cell reception area. Keyless entry would be much better.

Thank you Angela for the feedback. I am not sure which lake you went to. White Lake is 5 minutes from our place but the Shuswap Lake is more like 20 minutes. I will ensure to define the lake next time I am asked.
I looked back at my message to you and I asked you to call our host's home phone number 30 minutes before arrival precisely because of the cell service. I appreciate that you like keyless entry however, we enjoy the human touch so that our guests feel welcome and misunderstandings like the time to the lake can be clarified.
I am glad you enjoyed our cabin, we take great pride in it's surroundings, view and the cleanliness. We really appreciate it when people with dogs make sure to bring covers for the couch and beds to cut down on the extra hours of cleaning.
Thank you for staying with us!
We had such an amazing stay at this cottage in Blind Bay. It was honestly even better than the pictures, which is rare! The cottage is beautiful, cozy, and feels like a little piece of paradise. The porch and view were our favourite parts. It was such a peaceful spot to sit, relax, and take in the scenery. The setting is absolutely idyllic, with the most beautiful garden surrounding the cottage. It truly felt like something out of a dream. The owners have done such a great job making sure you have everything you could possibly need during your stay. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. Communication with the owners was also excellent. They were quick to respond and made everything easy. The location was perfect too. It’s close to Sandy Beach, which was a beautiful place to spend time, and also conveniently located near amenities like the grocery store and ice cream shops. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches from the lovely manager. The homemade chocolate, wine, and fresh flowers from the garden were such a sweet welcome and made the stay feel extra special. We absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting. We would love to come back!
Beautiful lake views from this attractive A-frame cottage with lovely interior decor and fun, quirky garden area. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and log fireplace. The Gas BBQ and large patio deck were also added bonuses. It was a shame that the hot water had a strong sulphur smell which made having a shower rather unpleasant. The manager explained it was because of iron in the water and possibly because we were the first guests of the season. Apart from that I’d love to return and highly recommend this tranquil retreat.

Thank you Caroline for the detailed review. I am sorry about the iron smell. Shandy is right, we hadn't had guests since January. We will make sure the filters have been replaced. Otherwise, I am glad you had such a nice stay with your family.
The property is very well maintained and beautiful, it has amazing views and is extremely relaxing!

Thanks Kalob,
Shandy had great things to say about how you left the place as you found it and your consideration of the neighbours. We hope to see you back and that the wedding is a great celebration.
Wonderful views of the lake and a short drive to swim, bike, disc golf, etc. Loved spending time in the backyard and covered porch in the evening. Perfect set up for a family of five.
We loved our everything about our stay at the White Lake House retreat. The views were stunning and the house provided everything we could possibly need. We loved the privacy, the outdoor games, the bright kitchen and best of all the covered porch. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Thank you Katie,
Shandy enjoyed meeting you and said you left everything as you found it. Thank you and if you are in our area again please let us know.
The cabin was so beautiful with a stunning view. The grounds were a gardeners dream. Phaedra was very thoughtful with a lovely gift and card for us. Every need was thought of, right down to firewood. It was also very kind to be met at the property and shown around to familiarize us with everything. We will definitely come to stay again.
We had a wonderful four night stay! The house and location are beautiful! We cooked meals, star gazed, and drove down to the lake to swim and kayak (White Lake and Shuswap Lake are only short drives away)! The gardens on the property are just stunning. We would go back in an instant of we could. ❤️🩷

Thank you Christine, we are so glad to hear that you made the most of your time here. We look forward to hosting you again!
Really nice cabin with a vaulted ceiling and loft, there are two full baths and the loft doubles as the primary bedroom. Slept our family of 5 really well and the living room/kitchen area has an awesome wood burning fireplace and spectacular views over White Lake.
The best part was our host Phaedra who lives on the property in a separate building and was very accommodating with our questions and is very knowledgeable about the area. Would highly recommend to anyone and we definitely will be staying here again.

Beautiful house, better than advertised. I had pictures to upload but looks like the site won’t allow it, amazing view of the lake from the deck, shared with hummingbirds who visit the feeder. Inside is immaculate, though we spent most of the time outside. Those with dogs may want to crate downstairs, as the carpet upstairs is light. Overall highly recommended—my wife wanted to stay for a week—next time.
