Return home to explore rock pools, find sea shells or stroll past snorkelers to the aquarium or children’s playground at delightful Island Bay. Treat yourself to coffee or ice-cream at sea front cafes. Beaches are popular with surfers, swimmers & divers. Princess Beach has gorgeous sunsets - the best beach to see the sun go down across the snowy mountains of the South Island.
This 1950’s home has been extensively redesigned with a vintage vibe.
10 external stairs to the 1st level entry & 3 stylish bedrooms with queen beds, facing the sea for up to 6 guests & a bathroom. On the 2nd level is a 2nd bathroom & open plan living/kitchen with stunning ocean views. There’s a bench & stools to catch up with work on your laptop or board games for the family. Enjoy dolphin spotting, cruise ships & aeroplanes landing across the sea or watch locals on The Great Southern Walkway in front of the house. Relax on the large patio deck with a drink & book or stay warm & cosy in front of huge windows watching the magnificent Pacific Ocean.
There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, bread-maker, blender for delicious breakfast smoothies or try the complementary healthy homemade muesli. Supermarkets are handy too.
Other things to note:
Free off-road parking nook & bus stops opposite. There are the sounds of ocean waves & a road in front, though bedroom windows are double glazed.
Please respect our home - no parties, pets or smoking inside. Outside camera at stairs for guest safety and host security

Amazing Sea Views

Loved the sea views from upstairs floor and downstairs from bedroom. Lovely and clean, good heat pump. Stairs are quite steep but were no worries for us. Would stay again.
