I simply cannot recommend Halt Hill enough. We came for my sister's hens weekend and Heidi, Rosemary, Gemma and Scott went above and beyond in every single aspect. Communication was as smooth as can be, from booking, check-in/check-out organisation and a long lunch on the property that they assisted us to organise. Scott was also our waiter through lunch, even rearranging umbrellas as soon as the sun would shift to keep us all shaded! Aside from that, the property is amazing - luxurious bedrooms and lounge areas, the most well-stocked kitchen I have ever had in a holiday house, board games, books, and outdoor games as well. The house is so private and is just the perfect weekend getaway, whether for a group of friends or with family. We felt so looked after for our entire stay and I cannot say enough good things. Thank you so much, we hope we will be back!
We had a wonderful stay with 2 other families at Halt Hill. Great communication, amazing farm manager Scott who was so good with the kids and a very spacious, fully equipped home. Thank you for having us, we really enjoyed our stay!
Lots of room for three families to spread out. Lovely views from the veranda and great walks and running trails through the property. Farm manager, Scott very friendly and helpful. Took kids on tours and more. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Fresh eggs from the chickens every day. Highly recommended.
We were 4 families and there was still enough room for us all to enjoy the property. Nicely furnished throughout, and special thanks to Scott for the ride round the property in the jeep, the kids were thrilled! Hoping to be back...
We were 4 families who travel over NYE yearly and loved the house setup - rooms, facilities, well equipped. The house manager who stays on the property was lovely and entertained our kids. The pool is large, the property is vast, close to a river, feed the chickens, pick macadamias. . Approx 20min drive to other towns, plenty to see and do. Highly recommend. Thank you
From start to finish, the experience was amazing. The booking process was seamless, and all the information provided leading up to the weekend was incredibly helpful.
The property itself was immaculate—so many of the girls commented on how spotless everything was. The styling and furnishings were absolutely beautiful, and every detail had been thought of. It truly felt like everything we could possibly need was provided.
The layout of the property was another highlight. The variety of spaces allowed us to gather as a large group or break off into smaller groups when we wanted to. The vegetable garden was also such a treat! Being able to use fresh veggies from the garden for our salad was a lovely touch.
I have to give a special mention to Scott, the onsite farm manager —he was fantastic! When we arrived, he was finishing up re cleaning the outdoor areas after the big storm the previous night, and everything was spotless. He was so accommodating and made us feel incredibly welcome. From the fresh eggs, milk, and champagne in the fridge to the beautiful flowers he picked for the table, his thoughtfulness stood out. He even offered to light a fire for us and took us on a fun farm tour in the open-back jeep. It really added to the experience.
Would definitely recommend Halt Hill
