Lake Bywater Cottage
Nestled amongst age-old river red gums, this charming, historic C1886 Cottage has been tastefully renovated and sits within 4.5 acres of nature’s playground on the majestic Murray River. Private Jetty
The property provides plenty of options to ensure guests feel relaxed: spectacular views, direct river access and landing area, several walking trails, two-person spa, rumpus room and spacious living areas. Rest in one of the three large bedrooms and prepare family meals in the fully equipped kitchen which also contains a De'Longhi coffee machine. The large living/dining area lends itself to reading, long chats and board games (provided) in year-round comfort. The separate lounge contains a large Smart TV and sofa bed for additional guests.
The external rumpus room is full of activities and amenities including pool table, air hockey table, Smart TV, Wii game system, bar and fridge as well as heating and cooling. Lawn games are also provided.
Bring the boat and fishing gear, use the supplied pedal boat, kayaks, SUPs and life jackets and explore the lake or sit back and enjoy the stunning views from the fire-pit, lawned area or inside the Cottage with its large picture windows.

The home and surrounding garden/areas is absolutely beautiful and overall our stay was perfect. We had everything we needed and then some - due to the addition of the under cover BBQ area that wasn't shown in the images! It's not complete yet but the table and BBQ itself were just great to utilise. The view was beautiful, the amenities were great, the shed with all the activities in it were awesome! We had the best time and are already in talks to rebook :)

This house is amazing. If you like history this house will not disappoint. The house is cosy with beautiful views. Abundance of wildlife with kayaks and a paddle boat to enjoy. Excellent amenities with personal touches. Chocolates on arrival and toiletries. Will love to retur. Enjoyed immensely.

River Gateway
The property is something extraordinary. Beautiful lush lawns, lake and the river all within walking distance.
No need for a TV as the front windows overlook the green lawns, trees, river and lake. The games room was a big hit with adults and teenagers alike on a rainy day.
My family still cannot thank me enough for finding this little gem for our gateway. Looking forward to booking again in a near future.
