Peace & Quiet at Tranquil Tiny House
We had a wonderful stay here and felt very looked after by our hosts who were super friendly and welcoming. The spa bath is just a short drive a way (near the bigger cabin and main house) and was wonderful to swim in while watching the sunset. We loved taking our car up the 4wd track to the gate of Wollemi National Park where we enjoyed a hike up the mountain. The cabin was cosy and comfortable. We loved being in such a remote area with such a beautiful landscape! Looking forward to visiting again one day.

Great off grid peaceful cabin
The Nile cabins are on a beautiful piece of land with ample bush and trails to get to. Jake and Mandy were very helpful hosts and made an effort to make us feel comfortable and looked after. It's a lovely property and the hideaway cabin is a small but self contained home. We'll try to come back and stay again.

We are a small family who were living in Sydney and then made the tree change in 2021 to live on this farm full-time.
We own 420 acres of mixed paddocks and tranquil bush. There are 2 running creeks, swimming holes, caves, incredible views and many places to be explored if you enjoy hiking.
We have Angus cattle, sheep, chickens and our kelpie Ziggy who loves to have a pat from all the visitors.
Everyday we are in awe of the scenery here, the kids love the outdoor spaces and after a long day a dip in the swimming hole or spa is a must!
We enjoy hosting as we have met so many interesting people from all walks of life.

Why they chose this property

The scenery here is absolutely stunning. We are in the Capertee Valley which is the widest canyon in the world.
We are surrounded by cliff face all around and from sunrise to sunset the colours on the cliffs are magical.
The valley is also famous internationally for Bird Watching.

We have a lovely local cafe not far away (perhaps a 20min drive) called 'From the Paddock' which serves coffee, cakes, home-made pies and sells local produce. Everything on their menu is home-made, delicious and its a relaxed vibe with plenty of space for the kids to run around. The perfect place to unwind and soak up the local culture.

If it's very hot and you need more than our swimming holes offer, the nearby Glen Davis National Park has a huge swimming hole nestled among their national park.

Our closest town with shopping is Rylstone and Kandos. Known as the twin towns they are historical and very cute. They offer pub lunches, bakery, groceries, chemist, cafes, restaurants, museums, op-shops and boutique shopping.

My favourite place to eat in Rylstone is the Yum Cha. It is only open for lunch, 11am-3pm and bookings are a must. Try 29 nine 99 Yum Cha and Tea house for authentic dumplings.

If its dinner you are after, I recommend Pepinos Mexican Restaurant in Rylstone. Open from Thursday - Sunday from 5:30pm, bookings are recommended as it is popular.

There are also 2 wineries in Rylstone if you fancy some wine-tasting on your day out. Check out 'Naked Lady Wines' and 'De Beaurepaire Wines' for tasting platters, delicious wines and live music.

Dunn Swamp is a large waterway outside of Kandos-Rylstone that offers swimming, rock-jumping, kayak rentals (in the warmer months) and picnic areas. A really lovely day out by the water.

Shopping....my favourite store is Folkologie in Rysltone. Homewares, gifts and vintage inspired pieces in a beautiful space. Definitely worth a visit!
I'm also an avid Op-shopper so I love the op shops in Kandos.

What makes this property unique

We have 420 acres of land here for you to explore and also direct access to the Wollemi National Park.

If you love hiking or mountain bike riding then there is plenty of places for you to explore. We have the Glen Alice Trail and the Bicentennial National Trail that runs through our property.

If you have a 4wd then feel free to drive around our property and up the tracks on the hills for some spectacular lookouts.
A fire-pit at night under the incredible stars.

We are very remote, nestled amongst the cliffs, up the end of a long dirt road it is very quiet here. Our property is a mix of grazing paddocks, rainforest like swimming holes, fresh running creeks and bushland. There are lots of historic caves on the property waiting to be explored.

Our daily wildlife sitings are kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and colourful bird-life.
We know the wombats are there and see them at dark if you fancy a night stroll.
We have also seen echidnas and lyre birds on the odd occasion.

The sounds outside are the birds and an occasional cow mooing in the distance.

The night sky and stars are particularly breath-taking. I am always surprised by it having grown up in the city.
