Very cozy touches. Well equipped kitchen. Stairs were a little steep going to unit. Very clean. Close to what we wanted to see the Bronx Zoo and botanical gardens.

Hottest week in NY

When arriving, the apartment was extremely hot. I noticed that only one A/C unit was installed even though the listing stated there were 2. I tried calling, emailing, and texting the host without any answer or reply. I then went downstairs and knock on the door. At that point she explained the other unit has not been installed yet. My husband helped to get that installed and by the next morning the unit was cool enough for us to use more than just the bedroom. After that, everything was fine and communication with the host was consistent.

I’d like to clarify that while the second A/C unit was not yet installed when you arrived due to unseasonably mild weather earlier in the month, a tower fan was available to help with airflow. Once the weather shifted, your visit happened to coincide with the start of the heat wave. I appreciate your husband’s assistance in getting the additional unit set up; thanks to that, the space cooled down by the next morning and became much more comfortable. I also want to acknowledge the power issue. When both A/C units and a hair dryer were in use simultaneously, the power temporarily shut off due to overload. I came home right away from a dental appointment to resolve it for you as quickly as possible. I do my best to respond quickly to ensure guest comfort, and I appreciate your understanding in this rare situation. Thanks again for staying, and I wish you and your family all the best!"
