The bottom line is that if and when we come back to Port Townsend, this will be our first choice. Great place to stay and relax. Great views of the water and Olympics. Short walk down to the marina, listening to the lapping water and watching the birds fly by. We had a couple of minor things and Lance was right there to help.
fantastic place, nice layout and updated. great views, bird watching,(Heron in the tree one morning for over an hour) and nice place to go for a walk. Kitchen was great. Nice sharp knives and good pans. We love this neighborhood!only complaint was that the pillows in the guest room are TERRIBLY hard.
Perfectly appointed home with exceptional views, comfort, tranquility. If I were arranging a home to make guests feel completely at ease, this would be my model. From small things like hooks where you want them and all the right kitchen utensils to big things like stunning views and nearby beach walks, this property was extraordinary.
House has just about everything needed for a comfortable stay. Could use a few things to put shine on the diamond- coffee table, maybe some throw blankets for curling up.
The view was enough to feel encapsulated in the beauty of the region - the water, islands and mountains - just wonderful. The beds were comfortable and house had everything we needed. It was the cleanest place I've been in for a long time including my own house. I would love to stay again in the furture.

Response from VrboOwner on 1 April 2025
From the owner: "Wow! Thank you for such nice feedback. We truly appreciate the feedback and strive to keep the home clean! Come back soon!"
The setting was great. Decor was minimalist but perfectly acceptable. For those who care, there was no TV. Beds are firm. More and more comfortable outdoor furniture would be an improvement. Great appliances.
We had a fabulous day over the Fourth of July weekend. We were able to watch the fireworks over the Cape without even leaving the home. The walk down to the beach was easy and lovely. The house was clean and had everything we needed to cook a nice meal in. Communication with the owner was clear and easy. Just to downtown Port Townsend was short and made our stay wonderful.
We were very pleased with our accommodations in Port Townsend. The home was very clean and perfect for the size of our group (3). The property manager responded quickly to our inquiries. The view of Discovery Bay and snow capped mountains was simply amazing. We even had wild deer roaming through the property. The neighborhood was very quiet. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Beautiful view, comfortable house
We really enjoyed our stay. Cape George Colony is a wonderful quiet family friendly neighborhood and our house met the needs of our family of 3 excellently. We loved the view and brightness of the home and our toddler appreciated the toddler friendly touches—pack n play; toddler silverware, plates, cups; and a small collection of toys. The beds were comfortable and we especially liked the bed linens.
My spouse and I had a wonderful vacation in Port Townsend, and our stay at this vacation home was a significant part of that experience. The location was fantastic, offering breathtaking views of Discovery Bay that we enjoyed every day. Nestled in a quiet area, it provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.We loved listening to the birds during the day, and we were thrilled to spot a bald eagle one morning. In the evening, we were serenaded by a lovely chorus of frogs, adding to the tranquil ambiance. The supplied BBQ was a great addition, and we utilized it for many of our meals, making our stay even more enjoyable. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after our days of exploration. The hosts provided clear and easy-to-follow instructions, and we didn't need to contact them at any point throughout our trip, which made for a seamless experience.Additionally, there are several Puget Sound Express infinite-refill mugs available onsite should you choose to sign up for that excursion.Overall, this vacation home exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and picturesque retreat in Port Townsend.
