About this property
Historic stone house by the river, with hot tub and firepit
This unique bicentennial and historic house has been fully renovated with modern amenities while maintaining it's rustic charm It is located in the heart of Vieux-Beloeil, the old and touristic part of Beloeil. Beloeil is a charming little town by the river, facing the beautiful Mont Saint-Hilaire. The house used to be an inn in the early 19th century, until becoming a summer house for family and friends of my ancestors, who lived in the red brick house next door. It is within walking distance of everything in Vieux-Beloeil, with many restaurants, terraces, cafés, bars, breweries, boardwalk, marina just around the corner. You can't ask for a better location in the area! :-)
***One thing to note is that the ceilings are a bit low on the 2nd floor, with the original structural wooden beams at about 6 feet high (actual ceiling are about 6'10"). But it's all part of the charm! On the ground floor they are standard at 8'. ***
Also note that the house is not on the water directly, the street separates the house and our riverside.
Heated floors all over on ground floor Sectional couch and flat screen TV 2 reading areas/office space 1 queen bed room 1 double bed room 1 loft area with queen bed, couch and smart tv (whole 3rd floor) Cable and smart tv to log in your streaming services. Martin responded promptly to any questions we had. The house was spacious, the beds comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked. The views of the river and Mt St-Hilaire were beautiful. Great restaurants within walking distance. We loved the hot tub and the privacy.
We’ve been revisiting this house for a few years now. I’m generally not the type to go on vacation to the same place repeatedly, until I walked into this stone house. I love it so much. Great experience year after year.
We had an excellent stay in Beloeil! The house was as-advertised, with a spacious kitchen and great public spaces for hanging out in. The hot tub was easy to use and comfortable. Great location as well - a very short walk to the parks, restaurants, and cafes in Vieux-Beloeil, and a reasonable drive to visit Montreal as well. We were glad to have stayed here!
This house is perfect for families or friend groups coming for any time of year activities. It is absolutely gorgeous and in a prime location.Highly recommend!!
Property was clean and in an excellent location for outdoor activities and dining within walking distance. The host was very quick to respond when I emailed and the checkout procedures were simple. Felt completely safe and welcome in this charming little town.
We rented this gorgeous stone house to attend a family reunion in late August of 2026 for 4 night! The house was exactly as advertised! So charming and beautiful! The location was unbelievable and we loved walking to the various cafes and restaurants every day of our stay! The host was very quick to reply when we had questions about the AC unit on our first day and the issue was resolved immediately! We never used the hot tub as we noticed it only on our last day as it was nestled behind the shed next to the house (great private location) but we will on our next stay!
We had such a wonderful stay! The house was extremely clean and beautiful inside and out. It seemed bigger in person than it was in the photos! The location is a perfect walking distance to many delicious restaurants. The river across the street has many benches and places to sit as well which was very nice. The host was very helpful and quick to communicate with us too. Overall, we had an amazing time, definitely a 5/5 vacation!
My family and I have a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Sunrises and sunsets were just amazing. The house is super clean and had everything we needed for our week's stay.
We live staying at this house - this was our third year in a row staying here for a reading retreat weekend. The house is very unique, with it's mix of old and new (old house that is nicely updated inside.) Lots of character, and we love that it is walking distance to plenty of restaurants. Beautiful view as well!
Loved our stay here. Just minutes away (by foot) from numerous restaurants. We ate well!
The house is vey well equipped - don’t hesitate to stay (stairs going to bedrooms a bit steep, but not a problem).
Such a beautiful home in such a beautiful town! It was amazing to be by the river and all the cute shops near by. Close enough to Montréal to visit, but far enough away to escape the big city. We hope to be back one day!
