The space
Whispering gums and birdsong greet, they tell stories of days when the fields were orchards and the apples were picked by hand. Our storybook cottage lies at the end of a quiet court not far from the hustle of everyday life whilst positioned to reach any and all of the spectacular sites and experiences of the Mornington Peninsula. Step through the door to retreat and out to explore. The small country train going past gives access to the city, beaches and ferry to Philip Island. You can plan day trips or use the time here to enjoy books, rest, fresh local organic food, coffee and wine.

Jack Cottage was conceived as a place for family and friends to retreat and reconnect surrounded by beautiful trees and plants, with a spectacular feature to be the glorious Jacaranda tree. Five "Jacks" are now growing around the property to blend with majestic gums and bird attracting natives. Our cottage is a place to recharge and reconnect with the beauty of nature, with others or indeed, yourself. It is carefully curated to transport you to simpler, slower times. Filled with items to evoke memories, start conversations, plan journeys and dream of slower days and deeper connections.

Freshly brewed coffee enjoyed while watching the morning sky explode into colour and in the evenings the sweet smell of jasmine permeates the air as you enjoy wine, conversation and laughter on the private deck. A place we ourselves came to not so long ago but can now never imagine leaving.

Jack Cottage is newly renovated using almost entirely salvaged and re-purposed materials. The cottage features a generous master bedroom with a lovely writing desk overlooking the garden and providing inspiration. The combined living and dining room is a bright, airy space for you to enjoy the views through the vintage french doors out to your own private deck.
The bathroom features a generous walk in shower.

A cosy separate room with bunks accommodates two people (styled for children) and is stocked with books and games for you to enjoy.

On arrival, you'll find tea & coffee refreshments. We also provide you with beautiful bars of soap, and hand and body wash. Good quality, squeaky clean towels, pillows, bed linen and snuggly blankets are all provided.

Jack Cottage has split system air conditioning & heating. It doesn't take long to heat or cool and as such, you'll find it is really cosy & comfortable in all seasons.

Guest access
Feel free to respectfully enjoy the gardens surrounding the cottage. Children are also welcome to use the playground and swings.
