The Space:
If you’re looking for a luxury and character-filled coastal cottage immersed in nature with bush walks and gorgeous views on your doorstep, with less than 15 minutes drive to all the Central Coast has to offer, you’ve found the place!

Enjoy your morning coffee with the Nespresso coffee maker on the sun drenched deck the owners call the “Zen Garden” where a fountain trickles peacefully and there is enough room for morning yoga. You can relax in the evenings with a drink on the verandah listening to the sound of the pond fountain in the gardens below while the sun sets over the hills through the gum tree leaves.

Poets Corner Retreat is a charming coastal cottage that will relax you the moment you arrive, with a free flowing layout and plenty of room for the whole friend-group or family to come together and recharge. There are 3 separate indoor and 5 outdoor living areas so no need to feel cramped in this house. A large kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances, oversized oven and ample counter space as well as easy access to either the indoor dining room or alfresco eating area.

There is a separate living room and family room (both with reverse cycle air conditioning and heating). Inclement weather is no big deal here at the Poets Corner Retreat, just fire up the indoor fireplace and select a movie using the free Netflix guest account on the 75 inch TV.

The sunken lounge will be one of your favourite parts of the house where you can enjoy the 270 degree views of the eucalyptus and jacaranda trees and hills beyond as you curl up in the giant love chair with a book, or one of many free games provided.

This luxury accommodation has four stylish bedrooms each with brand new comfortable Sealy and Slumberland pillow-top back-support mattresses and high quality linens. All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and a built-in robe or ample shelving, and one bedroom has its own desk/workspace as well.

There are 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet. One of the bathrooms is brand new with mood lighting around the illuminated mirror making each rain shower you have feel like a spa experience. The sun drenched laundry is also newly renovated with a view out to the garden so you’ll enjoy doing the laundry with the brand new washing machine and dryer.

If inspiration (or work) grabs you, the integrated study with complimentary high speed Wi-Fi internet is the perfect space.

This quiet and leafy coastal home is ideally situated with coastal trails on your doorstep and a few short minutes in the car will get you to wide stunning beaches (some are dog friendly) and the holidaymaker havens of Tuggerah Lake, Long Jetty, Blue Bay, Shelly Beach and The Entrance. You are also less than 15 minutes drive to the nightlife and family friendly beaches of Terrigal, Wamberal and the shopping oasis at Erina Fair. There is free parking on the premises so you don’t need to worry about the inconvenience of not having a car parked right outside.

The Neighborhood:
Bateau Bay is a charming coastal village in the heart of the Central Coast, best known for its stunning views and variety of activities. Whether you’re looking to fish, swim, snorkel, bushwalk, paraglide or whale watch, this secluded pocket on the coast is sure to delight everyone.

The Bateau Bay Beach picnic area is the perfect place to enjoy a family picnic, especially since it's sheltered from the elements and nicely shaded. Make sure to pack your towel, because once you’ve finished your lunch, Bateau Bay is an excellent spot for fishing, snorkelling and exploring the rock pools. Afterwards, take a short scenic walk to Crackneck lookout, which offers sweeping views over the entrance and Shelly Bay. If you’re lucky, you might see a whale or two!

Nestled in the southern half of the Wyrrabalong National Park - a picturesque wilderness full of walking tracks, gorgeous beaches, wildlife and Aboriginal heritage - Bateau Bay has plenty of beaches and coastal hikes sure to delight. Make sure you pack your camera, because with stunning walking trails, excellent whale watching vantage points, and a carpet of flowers, you’ll be sure to want to share these views with all your loved ones.

The Entrance is a gorgeous town set in a similarly gorgeous environment, tucked between the sparkling Pacific Ocean and tranquil waters of Tuggerah Lake. This family favourite town has plenty to offer, whether it be in unique shops or fun activities. Check out the Historic Carousel and the nearby splash pool featuring fountains in the shape of magical sea creatures to truly make your children’s day. With stunning beaches, fun pelican feeding shows, and a selection of great foods, the Entrance is an excellent spot to make a day of.

Getting Around:
There is free parking on the premises for guests arriving by car. It is recommended for the convenience of guests, and to be able to fully take advantage of this gorgeous area, that they have their own transport.

Age Limit: We do not accept reservations for groups with travelers under the age of 23 years unless a specific exception has been approved. Travelers under the age of 23 that are traveling with a family group with a parent are more then welcome to stay with us.

Supplies: A complimentary welcome pack will be provided that includes several single-use items to get you started including tea, coffee, sugar, creamer, soap, laundry, and dishwashing supplies. For extended stays, please bring extra provisions.
