It was a nice small cabin, did what we needed it to. Only complaint I have is there was no coffee provided. I have stayed at many STRs and own one so the no coffee was shocking. Cabin has a charming way about it but could use a major update.
The drive up to the home was very picturesque, and the views from the back deck were very nice. The house itself was clean and comfortable. The beds slept nice and I really enjoyed the remodeled shower in the bathroom. Overall I wish I had another couple of days to spend relaxing there but was happy with the home and accommodations.
We arrived to an uncleared property - dirty linens , kitchen, garbage etc. owner totally non responsive to calls or texts entire stay. We had to wait until the next day for cleaning service . No washer dryer to clean towels or sheets ourselves. No guest book or WiFi password as stated although I think VRBO now added it to check in info. No coffee which was a bummer. No working oven. No a/c and place gets hot . Also very dense and loud neighborhood in an area where noise really carries - late night music and laughing every night at various places.

Good but Terrible
We enjoyed the cabin but the description isn't fully accurate. It says the place is 'modern'. But how can it be when built 34 years ago? It was adequate but certainly has dated, tired cabinets, sinks, oven, and a deck that squeaks with every step. The blinds in the downstairs bedroom are broken. We had to figure out a way to prop them up to get some light into the room. There is no air conditioning like the description says - just some fans. That is one of the reasons we chose the place, because it can get very hot in the area in the summer. The first night was smoky due to forest fires, and the windows couldn't be opened, therefore, it was 'stuffy' inside - not unbearable due to it's mountain setting, but still, they need to take 'air conditioning' out of the description. The biggest complaint was the absentee owner. There was a major problem with the forest fire smoke. Air levels that showed 'hazardous' and 'very unhealthy' on the scale. Our horseback rides, lake visits, walking the town etc. were all canceled. Obviously, this is no fault of the owner or VRBO, however, after 2 messages and texting the owner, and a call to VRBO promising to get back to me within the hour - we were completely ignored. Zero. No communication whatsoever. And VRBO customer service did not call back like they said - ever. We were on our own. This is the only time in the numerous trips with have made with other similar providers that the owner or agency completely wrote us off.
