About this property
4 Bedroom Mid-Century Home with Ocean Views
Imagine a place where time slows down and creativity flows.
Casa Bundeena is a magical oasis that is perfect for couples and larger groups of 8.
Nature abounds…
The back fence is National Park. Beyond it lies ocean views that allow you to watch ships sail across the horizon at dusk and whales migrating in wintertime.
At the foot of the garden is a sandy path that you can wander to Jibbon Beach in 10 mins, or walk the majestic Royal National Park track to Wedding Cake Rock or Figure 8 Pools.
The space
The quirky midcentury artists’ haven is light, airy and spacious.
The walls are filled with art by our favourite painters and photographers; the selves are filled with art and photography books, games and puzzles - and there are art supplies hidden in drawers throughout the house.
FEATURES:
Hi-speed NBN wifi internet.
Entertainment System:
- HD Epsom projector & screen with surround sound bar.
Stream directly from your phone, tablet or laptop or access Netflix, YouTube etc via remote - perfect for movie nights or lazy afternoons!
Climate Control:
- We have a reverse-cycle air con / heater in the main room.
- In winter we have heaters in ever room and in summer there are fans in every room.
- Towels and beach towels provided
THE ROOMS:
Just like the rest of the house, you’ll notice each bedroom has its own personality and colour scheme and complete with beautiful, big Australian crystals and artworks.
Beds includes 750 & 1000 count bedding and feather & down pillows.
BEDROOM 1:
This is the largest bedroom with windows that face westerly, so this room stays nice and cool in summer.
- Master Bedroom
- Queen bed
- Memory foam mattress
- Mirrored wardrobes & chest of drawers
- Bedside lamp
BEDROOM 2:
This is a big bright room situated with east-facing windows that look out towards the sea.
The window has venetian blinds and curtains to keep the room cool in summer (and dark for those who feel like a sleep-in)
Queen Bed
- Views of the sea (from bed!)
- Drawers & under-bed storage
- Nursing chair (great for new mums!)
- Bedside lamps
BEDROOM 3:
This is a nice, bright room that is smaller than Bedroom 1 and 2. It is situated just off the lounge.
- Queen Bed
- Views of the sea (from bed!) and garden
- Under-bed storage
- Bedside lamp
BEDROOM 4:
This is small but colourful room.
- Double Bed
- Bedside lamp
- Ideal for kids & singles - though it can sleep 2 adults comfortably
- The Lounge Area
Relax on the sprawling sofa and big comfy armchair, pull up a giant floor cushion and play board games or watch the migrating whales from the couch in the wintertime.
We are HUGE boardgames enthusiasts... we have the following:
Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Codenames, Sequence, Monopoly Deal, Uno , Catan & Carcassonne... and Cards Against Humanity. Plus jigsaw puzzles & playing cards.
- Bathroom & Laundry
The Bathroom and toilet are seperate.
All of our hand and body wash, shampoo & conditioner are all-natural and supplied by brands we love like Sukin.
There is a laundry which doubles as a second bathroom sink (for tandem tooth-brushing) with a washing machine - and the classic Aussie Hills Hoist out the back.
- The Kitchen
We love to cook. You’ll find a chef’s selection of kitchen tools and there’s more than enough in the way of dining settings, wine glasses, carafes and water jugs - and everything you may need to cater for your entire group.
Ample bench space and of course a dishwasher makes catering for large groups easy.
Other kitchen features of note:
A great selection of teas (black and herbal)
Multiple coffee options (v important): French press; Aero-Press, Stovetop Espresso; Espressotoria Coffee pod machine (takes Vittoria Espressotoria pods available from the local IGA); and the classic freeze-dried.
Salt & pepper.
long life milk included.
- The Back Deck
A perfect place to relax and read on the chaise lounge, or do yoga overlooking the National Park
Front Porch
Ideal for evening drinks and to watch the sunset.
The Garden
Featuring an outdoor shower
I know... what is with all those spikey plants in the garden? It is the ONLY thing the deer won’t eat... yes deer! Cute faces, big antlers and even bigger appetites.
You will spot them wandering along the sandy back path grazing on grass, and often you will see them wander into the yard or even down the main drag.
