THE HOUSE
The house is tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac with plenty of parking. Feels like suburbia yet is just 100 metres from Bondi's best restaurants and bars and 5.26 mins walk to the beach. Yes, we timed it.
The master bedroom has a queen size beds and built-in wardrobes. It is light and breezy, with a full-wall sliding door that opens onto a balcony, so you can enjoy that indoor/outdoor feeling without leaving bed. Bamboo and trees keep the view private from the neighbours.
Downstairs is a large bedroom with a queen bed, built in wardrobes and a desk in case you need to catch up on emails.
The third bedroom is an enormous light-filled room with two king single beds.
All bedrooms feature celling fans and the two upstairs rooms have air-conditioning.
A fourth bedroom has been turned into a dedicated theatre/TV room with Netflix and Disney+. This gives people looking for downtime a separate place to enjoy a bit of screen time.
The central living areas is a huge living/dining that opens out onto an undercover deck and grassy North facing back yard that gets plenty of sun. An outdoor lounge area at the back of the yard gives you a relaxing place to escape. Festoon and garden lights illuminate the back yard, so you can enjoy it day or night.
The house features two bathrooms (one up, one down), both newly created in 2021 as well as a third toilet in the laundry area. The laundry has a family sized washing machine and clothes dryer.
Perfectly suited for two families, or one with room to spare, the house gives you plenty of space to get together at meal times, then enjoy undisturbed downtime as you choose.
THE TOYS
Comes with all the Bondi toys. Boogie boards for the beach and bikes, scooters and skateboards for getting there.
Outdoor shower (with toasty warm water) for when you come back from the surf.
BBQ in the back yard. Movies and Netflix indoors. The house is wired for sound with two stereos that sync to your iTunes so you can pump the tunes while you laze in the back yard.
THE AREA
Bondi should need no introduction. Sydney's most interesting suburb mixes up creativity, surf, fashion, fine dining, backpackers, bars, beards, babes, ugg boots, hippies, bankers, hobos and astronomical house prices to create something all it's own.
Just 7km from the city, Bondi is world famous for its history, its creative culture and for being one of the jewels in the global travel scene.
Our house sits right in the middle of the action, yet is tucked up a leafy cul-de-sac so it's leafy and quiet. It is widely considered to be one of Bondi's best streets.
The bus stop on the corner takes you to the city in around half an hour. Sushi, Pizza, Mexican, Indian, Italian, Thai, cafes and bars are all literally at the end of the street. An average player could hit a golf ball there. Harris Farm is just 50m further on, and there is a Woolworths supermarket a short walk away on the beach front.
Shops in the area include fashion, surf, homewares, Sydney's best ice cream (really...Messina, check it out) and at least 50 bars and restaurants. Only the awesome survive, so the standard is pretty epic.
WHO SHOULD STAY?
Our house is perfectly suited to two families with children looking for a beach adventure. Parents enjoy a bedroom each, while the children share an enormous light filled bedroom. the combined living/dining/outdoor makes it easy to enjoy mealtime together, while the separate TV room gives everyone their own space to relax after dinner. Each level has its own bathroom.
We keep it relaxed and fun so you won't feel like you can't touch things or enjoy yourself. The house is well decorated with art, guitars and other stuff that looks cool. The whole back house was renovated in 2021 so this place is in good shape, albeit with the odd ding in the wall that the kiddies have put there.
Two couples will find it very relaxed also. Cook your dinner with a few herbs from our garden then enjoy a few wines and tunes late into the night on the private deck. There's a guitar too and you're welcome to play it, if that's your thing or if you've always wanted to learn.
The last thing to say is this is our home most of the year so it's got our stuff in it. We'll make plenty of room for yours though too.
Tell us if you have any special requests. We can probably sort them out.
Most of all, have fun.
