The interior was spacious and surface pretty. Needs more kitchen supplies. Was only one dish towel, no dish cloth, just a sponge. We did dishes and did not use the dishwasher. The floors appeared clean but our socks were pretty dirty and we never wore indoor shoes and we always wipe our dogs feet on entry. The bedrooms are great with plenty of bathrooms for a large family. We were a group of 7 with our adult children and a toddler. The outside of the property is really nothing special but it’s ok. The lake is across the street with a little sand beach about 2min walk. There are no beach chairs provided to our knowledge which would make a day at the beach more accessible. We had good family time and no issues. Sincerely,

Nice house, well renovated with all mod cons. Could use a few more creature comforts, maybe some board games - there wasn't so much as a pack of cards. The listing is slightly ambiguous and could leave you thinking it's a lakefront property if you don't scrutinize the photos. It is across "the street from" Lake Simcoe, so your view is of the lakefront properties across the street.

Nice house in a great location

We really enjoyed the house and easy access to Lake Simcoe. The beds were comfortable, the grill worked really well and there was a fire pit in the backyard we used on two of our nights there.

This place is the definition of bandaid on a bullet wound. The decks have screws/nails sticking out of them. The floor is slanted, which makes one of the beds tilted. That makes it feel like you’re falling out while you’re sleeping. There was a couch missing which meant we couldn’t all sit in the living room at the same time. We had also planned to use it for a visitor to sleep and the owner did send an air mattress to make up for that sleeping arrangement. The pullout couch mattress had ZERO padding left and was like sleeping directly on wires. I’ve slept on many a pullout couch, this was no mattress at all. The main bedroom curtains/window covering are white so I hope you like getting up with the sun. The pots/pans etc were mostly dirty and damaged. The oven was DISGUSTING. The toaster smelled like burning. The bedding for the pullout couch was nonexistent. There were no extra sheets to change the upstairs beds and there was one towel per person. One towel. For an 8 day rental. The beach is not as across the street as the pictures but is still very close. However, you are directly across the street from a condemned house. The neighbours are terrible - they were having beach goers pay them to park and parking them directly next to our cars on the not shared driveway. The backyard is shared with two bunkies. While we were there - no privacy at all - and teens/young adults had one of them; they had a screaming match and fist fight. We had 5 kids with us. Don’t rent.

Response from VrboOwner on 13 August 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We take guest concerns seriously and responded promptly throughout your stay. The items we felt warranted attention were addressed immediately or have since been fully resolved, including repairs to the deck and replacement of the living room couch and pull-out sofa mattress. We would also like to clarify that several of the expectations and requests during this stay went beyond what is normally provided and what is advertised in our listing. The property’s sleeping arrangements, maximum occupancy, shared backyard, and amenities are clearly disclosed. Additional unregistered guests were brought to the property, and although they were not part of the reservation, we still provided an air mattress as a courtesy. Each registered guest is provided with a bath towel, linens are supplied for the advertised sleeping spaces, and the home includes a washer and dryer for longer stays. The neighbouring property and its private driveway are outside of our control, while our driveway remains exclusively for our guests. We appreciate constructive feedback and continue to invest in the property. Where concerns were legitimate, we acted without delay, and we remain committed to providing future guests with a safe, comfortable and accurately represented stay.

Location was Excellent! The beds were comfortable, towels were numerous. 3 bathrooms and 2 showers was great for a group. But.... bring decent sheet sets, dish cloth, tea towels, baking pans, frying pans, wine glasses, drinking glasses, mugs, and cutlery (if you care). Bring fans if you expect it over 30, and a Comcast works great cause no cable. Our daughter was able to work with the wifi while visiting.Bring safety candles cause we lost power 3 times (once for 4 hours).

Host has great communication and was very prompt. Location is very clear but my wife highly recommends bringing earplugs due to the fact that a lot of street racing happens...kinda c ok nes with the territory when it's right at the end of the street and the Start of a straight shot. Also the light switches are very interesting to say the least lol time to solve a puzzle

Communication and the booking process went smoothly. However, the accommodation is showing its age. The terrace and the barbecue were not clean, so we couldn't sit outside. The bathroom was clean, but the other rooms were rather dusty and could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
