Super small hot water heater. Several light bulbs out on overhead lights. Parking on property was annoying. View was fantastic.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the fantastic view, and we’re sorry to hear that a few aspects of your stay missed the mark. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they’d like to share the following:- The homeowners have installed a brand-new 40-gallon water heater, which is the largest unit that will fit in the apartment, to provide the best hot water capacity possible for guests.- They’ll take another look at the overhead light bulbs to ensure everything is working properly, and there are also spare bulbs available in the kitchen cabinet if needed during a stay.- Because the resort is located at the top of the mountain, parking near the building is reserved for unit owners and guests with physical disabilities. Complimentary van service is provided to help guests travel between the assigned parking area and the building.Thank you for your feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!
We loved our stay on sugar mountain, will be coming back again.

There is NO onsite parking - the team has to use a van to take you to parking, also this is not a ski-in ski-out resort, you have to go to the resort below it and jump on at the lift.

"We always want our guests to feel comfortable and well taken care of. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-Because the resort is located at the very top of the mountain, the spots immediately next to the building are reserved for accessibility and owners to ensure safety and ease of use.-We provide several resort parking lots within a 5-minute walk, along with a complimentary van service that ferries guests to and from their vehicles for free.-Regarding ski access, while the lift is located at the neighboring resort just below us, the van service is also available to help transport guests and their gear quickly and easily.-We appreciate this feedback as it helps us better set expectations for our mountain-top retreat!Thank you for taking the time to leave your review."
The condo was clean, spacious, and comfortable; in other words, it was as advertised. While the weather did not cooperate much while I was there and the unit was in the clouds much of the time, whenever the clouds lifted the views were exceptional. And in general, the location was great for exploring the area. When I plan another trip to western NC, I definitely will try to stay here again.

Locked out
After 10 hours in our vehicle, my 4 young grandsons were ready to be in the room, go to the pool and just do what kids do. We got all checked in, went to the room and couldn't get in. We called our contact person Susan and she insisted that she was only the cleaning lady, but did manage to get a locksmith to get the room open for us after about 3 hours. We had a giftcard for a restaurant at the front desk the next day for our troubles, it was for a place 35 miles away in another state!! lol. We gave it to the young lady working the front desk. The room was great but there were no trashbags so we had to buy some and there was filter and coffee grounds left in the coffee maker, but all in all our trip was great, the room was great, just a few little set backs. I would definitely book through Evolve again.

Great Condo/No central air
We recently stayed here for a few nights in July. While the listing does mention it, be aware that there is no central air conditioning. When we arrived, it was 84° inside, and the small air conditioning unit had not been turned on, making it quite hot. The unit worked hard to cool off the living room, but that was the only room it could manage. Both bedrooms remained warm, even with the windows open.Don't forget to bring pool towels, as they are not provided here, unlike some other places. The TVs were a bit tricky to figure out. I couldn't get the one in the master bedroom to work, but thankfully, I had brought my Fire Stick.Checking in and out was very simple, and the front staff were extremely polite and courteous. However, I didn't like that you couldn't park on the property. We had to shuttle back and forth from the entrance, which was inconvenient, but we made it work. All in all, I would recommend this property. The views are breathtaking, and the kids had a great time. This place will be my go-to for winter skiing, as Sugar Mountain runs a shuttle that will pick you up and bring you back.
