This was a great place. Very clean, well stocked comfortable place. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our first time in this area. We were here for a family wedding at House Boheme. Close to venue.
Our stay was comfortable. Unfortunately, the storm had hit and getting definite confirmation was a bit hard. But, it all worked out. We were there to help our daughter after the storm, so this was really not an actual vacation and the place was further than originally planned. Not owner's fault at all!! Road closures and reroutes were unavoidable. Overall the stay was nice. :)
We enjoyed our stay at this cottage/cabin. It was pet friendly and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils to both cook and eat with. Starlink was included and the quality of the streaming and internet was consistent and strong. There was a lovely deck with a great mountain view along with comfortable seating and a fenced in area for our dog. The carport was an added feature which we utilized daily during our stay. Security was not a concern with cameras, outside lights, and the gate at the back of the carport. Our dog enjoyed taking us walking on the road behind the cottage as well as some hiking. We even saw a white squirrel one day as we headed out for a bit!!The only challenge we faced was not with the cottage but with the weather. It rained some every day of our stay. Please be aware that once you turn onto the road the cottage is located, it is rocky and with all the rain it was a bit muddy in places. We have a small SUV so navigating the road was not an issue. Of course, neither of these things was the fault of the hosts. We were amazed at how much of the area had been rebuilt after the devastation of Helene in the fall of 2024. There is still much to do but the areas we visited - the hard work of the community, volunteers, and others was evident. All in all the rental met, and in some ways, exceeded our expectations. We would come again!
