Perfect stay for my adult son and I. Loved the little cottage in the middle of huge trees and ferns. Very quiet and enjoyed listening to the birds. Comfy beds and pillows. Wifi excellent. Had a great meal at the Pig and Whistle Tavern just down the road. Visited the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden which was really nice. The owner Renee was prompt and helpful when I rang to ask something as well.

Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to hear you enjoyed your stay at Brook Cottage, and I'm so glad the wifi worked well for you. We'd love to host you again. Warm regards, Renee
Property a bit tatty and very cheaply decorated inside and was not clean. Wet floor, broken floor tiles, broken shower tap, dirty oven, cobwebs, nor well supplied kitchen. Had to spend hours on phone trying to fix wifi, borrowed the neighbour's firelighters for fire.
Disappointed that Stayz would charge so much and recommend such a property.
The location is lovely, despite the very narrow and steep drive. The saving grace was the stunning trees and beautiful birds. The cottage thoughtfully provided bird seeds to entice them to the porch. There is also a cute little sauna nearby which can be booked for $60 per hour (when it's working).

Thank you for your honest feedback, and I'm sorry your stay did not live up to the setting. We had only just taken over the business at the time, and I'm sorry about the cleanliness and the condition of the cottage. Since your stay we have made big improvements: the kitchen has been updated, there are new taps throughout and a new shower head, the tiles have been fixed and the wifi has been upgraded to NBN. I'm glad you enjoyed the trees, birds and sauna, and I hope you can give us another chance one day. Warm regards, Renee
