Hot tub was not clean, had tons of chemicals in it. Neighbor hood is not the best. Owner got smart when i tried to address issue of hot tub. Wound up cutting the trip short and going to another location so my kids couldenjoy there spring break. Save your money and just book somewhere else.
I stayed here with my adult daughter and some friends and we all had a great time. The house is fun, comfortable and conveniently located to everywhere we wanted to go. I would stay here again without hesitation.
The team enjoyed the home which was close to the Kentucky exposition center. The two bathrooms and enough beds for the players to relax. There were restaurants close by which is very accessible.
The bedroom murals and decor to go with them are spectacular. It was like a little treasure hunt finding all the fun things. The beds were comfortable. We had a couple other little "treasure hunts" that weren't so great though. The upstairs bathroom did not have towels or washcloths. We had to take from the downstairs bathroom. And there was only one hand towel available for both bathrooms. Plus, the kitchen didn't have dish towels or washcloths. We could have contacted the host, I'm sure, but these basics just should have been there. We also had to hunt for a remote that would operate the living room TV.The kitchen had ample dishes, glassware and utensils. The hot tub was fabulous as is the whole backyard. This house is placed close to highway access without being too close - had a neighborhood feel.We would stay here again...didn't get to the corner bar or the ice cream place around the corner and down the street!
House was dirty. Didn’t not appear to have been cleaned prior to our stay. Finger prints on doors, hair in shower, food spray up walls, no towels in bathroom (dirty ones left in washer). Smoke detectors went off numerous time due to steam from shower. Bathtub faucet wouldn’t turn off. Bathroom door knob hard to open. Stairs in house a huge hazard, steep and obviously not in code. Not a great stay. Made owner aware of cleanliness issue and received no response. Would not stay here again. Spent almost $5k for 4 nights and definitely not worth it.
We loved the jungle house, the attention to detail that has gone into the decor was outstanding and it made such a nice change from ‘hotel griege’! There were no disappointments - everything was exactly as the photos showed. The hot tub was clean and very private, and all facilities were exactly as pictured. Plenty of towels etc, and we didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed to be well equipped. Parking was really easy - we parked directly outside the front door on the street, and the area seemed quiet and safe - the bar next door on the corner was really friendly and had great food. An Uber into downtown Louisville was under $10.
One thing worth noting, which didn’t affect our stay at all, but perhaps should be highlighted just in case someone less mobile has an issue, is that the laundry is in the basement, down some steep awkward stairs. The stairs up to the king bedroom are also quite steep, as are the ones out to the back door to get out to the hot tub. This was all absolutely fine for us, just something to bear in mind if you have members of your group who might struggle.
I would 100% stay again and recommend it to anyone! Thank you for making our stay in Louisville so fun and memorable!
