I travel to Iowa at least once a year. Best Stay Yet. Everything about the property was great! Booking fees are astronomical, more than double the advertised price. If it weren't for that I'd definitely stay here again.
The house is a farmhouse. The area is rural and very peaceful. It is a very clean house, well maintained and with a nicely stocked kitchen. Comfy furniture and beds. There was plenty of seating in living room. However, there is a couple complaints. The 1/2 bath is in the musty basement and the toilet is unenclosed. There was a sewer gas smell throughout the house after we took our first shower.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 May 2025
From the Owner: "I am sorry there was a sewer gas smell. I checked it out, and the plumber left out the clean-out plug after doing the yearly drain inspection with his camera. This house has never had a sewer gas smell."
