This gem is very conveniently located, walking distance to our town centre with cafes, restaurants and bars overlooking our beautiful Bay.
Our coastal walking track runs directly past this house, which invites safe and scenic walks or mountain biking.
Brand new Cplay Adventure Playground, Penguins & Aquatic centre are also just a stone throw away. Supermarket and Fast food options just a walk across the park.

Great seaside location

Nicely renovated property, in a great location with sea views. Was ideal for walking access to Caroline Bay playground and the port to view the penguin in the evening. It was really nie to arrive with the fire already lit, it was a nice and thoughtful touch.The house had everything we needed for our stay.

Our favorite so far

We have booked several houses through book a bach and this one is by far our favorite. The house was lovely and also set up well for children. Communication from the host was prompt and helpful and the area was beautiful with ocean views and just a 10min walk from the biggest playground in NZ. We will be back and can definitely recommend this accommodation and host!

Loved our stay here. It has been totally renovated inside and was very well done. There was everything we needed.Maybe should mention the train at the back of the section but it didn't worry us. Would recommend !

Fantastic location

Wonderful stay. Very clean and beautifully appointed. Fantastic location with easy walk to town and around the cliffs. Couldn’t find the spa but didn’t detract from the stay. Perhaps just update the amenities list. Highly recommended - would definitely book again.

House was perfect for our needs, well equipped, great shower and wonderful coffee machine with frother!! ASO nice and warm with just the heat pump on for a bit. Very well situated…we were able to walk into town along the beach walkway.Unsure if we will be back this way but if we are I would happily stay again.

Warm and welcome in Timaru

Walkable to town and the beach. Having the heat pump on before we arrived so the house was perfect temperature. Bedrooms did get cold if we closed the doors at night but were very cosy with the doors open. No obvious place for pantry type food that we did not put in fridge. Was perfect for our week stay.

Cosy little home

Perfect for our group of six (three couples). Nicely renovated older home. Full kitchen (coffee machine!). One bathroom and one separate toilet, so that may be a challenge for some groups. Magnificent shower, great pressure. Lounge with log burner - we made full use of that in this wintery weather, and gratefully used wood provided. Plus heatpump. Location close to town. Lovely street next to harbour, great views. Great host: would book again with no hesitation.

Why they chose this property

We have been living on this Street since 2008 and never looked back. having the Ocean right here! Felt it's a great move to share with other people! its such a great location, close to town but still feeling like on a holiday! Most of the attractions are walking distance and waking up to the sunrise over the ocean, what else would you want?
