Nuestra Casa – Beautiful and spacious downstairs suite in Lake Cowichan

Nuestra Casa - Newly renovated downstairs suite across the street from Cowichan Lake Sports Arena!

Step into our newly renovated, and spacious downstairs suite where modern comfort meets classic charm. Nuestra Casa ("our house" in Spanish) suite has a private entrance, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances that will make you feel right at home.
We are a ten-minute walk to the center (or a three-minute run if you're fast, we tested it). You can enjoy the beauty of Lake Cowichan by exploring from Nuestra Casa's excellent location or simply admiring the mountain views with your morning coffee in hand from the couch.

Nuestra Casa has two rooms that sleep five comfortably and can add a twin bed if needed in a living space (sleeps 6 in total). Our clean shower and double sinks in the bathroom are there to make you feel comfortable. A washer and dryer are available for use. Everything you need for your Island town getaway.

Our mission is for you to truly enjoy your stay with us, and we are wanting and willing to do everything we can to make that happen. Let us know what your needs are.

Note: If you have a furry family member (pet!) we accept bookings by request.

Nuestra Casa was a home away from home while we were in the area for a wedding. The hosts were responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even acquiring a packnplay for our toddler after we asked if they happened to have one. The basement is well designed where the rooms are separate from the living spaces so everyone can enjoy activities and not be heard. Would return if we come back to the area!

I really liked the location. It was quiet yet, at the same time close to town centre with its amenities. The only negative was the barking dog upstairs but it was not so annoying that it took away from the overall experience. Jacqueline was an amazing host - kind, courteous, generous and very approachable. She made us feel welcomed from the first day.

It was absolutely amazing!! Jackie was an amazing host. Extremely courteous, friendly and generous. Even allowing the use of one of her children's life-jacket when she discovered my grand-daughter's jacket was left at home. We discussed items like where we each from originally and family histories among other topics. She was very approachable and did an amazing job of showing us around her beautiful property and explaining its amenities. She also told us about local spots to visits. It was an amazing stay and I would highly, highly recommend it to anyone planning to stay in the Lake Cowichan/Duncan/Youbou area.

Hola! We are a Mexican-Canadian family that daily enjoys the beauty of this little town. We also enjoy making friends, hiking, nature, painting, reading, and one of us likes singing (at church, not while you sleep, don't worry). We all speak Spanish (and some French!) and we are delighted to share our downstairs suite.

Why they chose this property

We truly love our location. We are very close to the middle of the town (on the same road!) as well as the gym, arena, baseball fields and school. We are also suckers for a good mountain view and are blessed to be able to look out our windows every day.
We love the safety of our own and how much green there is everywhere.

What makes this property unique

A lot of listings often take advantage of every square inch, leaving you with small spaces to move around in. We want your stay at Nuestra Casa to be comfortable, and we think that is evident in our suite.

Also, we have a piano for you to enjoy! (outside of quiet hours, please)
