About the host
Hosted by Peggy Crane
We love being a host with our Cottage in the Great Southern, because its taken us back to my hubbies place of birth! Paul was born in Mount Barker and his family have been farmers in the area for many generations.
Why they chose this property
When the home came up for sale - we jumped at the chance to buy it! Its literally in town so you can walk to all the shops and cafes PLUS there is so much to do. Bike riding, hiking, surfing, Albany, Denmark and everything in between!
There's the Porongurup Ranges, there's Mount Lindesay, Bluff Knoll, and so much more.
Mount Barker sits at the heart of the Great Southern Wine region and is one of the world's biodiversity hotspots. It's the ideal base for a leisurely tour of cellar doors, a spring wildflower drive, or a challenging wilderness hike through Western Australia's only mountain range - the Stirling Range.
This is a great website to check out and see for yourself all there is to explore in this fabulous part of Western Australia.
