The home itself was absolutely gorgeous, exactly like the pictures, if not better! It was beautifully furnished, tastefully decorated, and had all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we enjoyed cooking meals daily. There were plenty of clean towels, and all appliances were modern and functional. Booking was simple, the rental price was very reasonable, and the space truly felt like a home away from home.
A few things to note for future travelers: The property is located on privately owned farmland with unpaved, rocky roads and several narrow one-car bridges. It’s very dark at night, there were no street lights or motion sensors. Arriving after sunset was tricky. GPS wasn’t able to locate the home using the standard address or the alternate one provided by the management company. We had trouble finding it. Thankfully, a kind local helped guide us to the house on his ATV. Another couple mistakenly show up at our rental the next day, clearly also confused by the directions.
The land surrounding the home is overgrown with brush, which made unloading the car a bit unsettling at night (we were on alert for snakes). Improved signage, outdoor lighting, and general lawn maintenance would go a long way in enhancing safety.
That said, if you love a rustic, secluded, nature-filled setting, you might appreciate the area more than we did. We were initially hesitant to book since there were only two other reviews, but we’re glad we did!
