The house in Walhalla was comfortable and had plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was clean, and the house is out in the country but a short drive to town. We had a wonderful stay.
Property is renovated and in a nice country setting. Overall, it was clean with a few areas needing some help. The listing showed a hot tub, but there isn't a hot tub on the property, and we noticed later there isn't one in the pictures. Overall, a nice rental with an accessible, friendly host. Perfect place for a large get together with family and friends.
Our marine son just got back from deployment and is stationed in NC. We are from GA, my mother-in-law resides in AL. This place provided a gathering point for us to all be together for Thanksgiving. The home is beautiful. There was plenty of room. Early morning coffee in the library/sitting room was pleasant. We enjoyed the big back yard and winding down in the evenings by the fire pit. My husband’s favorite part was that we were all able to gather around the dining room table.
We recently stayed at this home and appreciated several standout features. The house itself is very spacious, offering plenty of room to relax both indoors and outdoors. The large yard was a major plus—perfect for stretching out, enjoying some quiet time, or letting our dogs to run around.Inside, the home had a comfortable layout with lots of open space, making it easy to settle in and feel at ease. It’s clearly designed for relaxation, and we loved that about it.However, one issue we couldn’t overlook was the bug problem. There were numerous bug traps placed throughout the home, which were not only unsightly but also posed a challenge with our dogs around. We had to spend time hiding or moving them to safer spots, which was inconvenient and concerning.Overall, while the home has a lot of potential and is great for those who value space and outdoor areas, the bug issue did detract from the overall experience. With that addressed, it would be a much more comfortable and pet-friendly stay.
Great quiet getaway close to great outdoor activities
We really enjoyed our stay. We felt at home and the kitchen was very well equipped. We did some white water rafting and boating on the lake. Was always nice to come back to this place to unwind. Good amount of friendly wasps on the porch as well as ants getting in the kitchen. Windows could use a cleaning as well. I brought it to the owners attention and he said he was going to handle it. Owners communication was great! Would stay again!
