Everything was perfect!! Flexible and welcoming, the house was warm, clean and very well done. Beds comfy, towels fluffy, well stocked kitchen. Property beautiful, like everything in Nelson.
We we so pleased and surprised to find this semi rural retreat. It was well appointed and we loved the quiet atmosphere and yet so close to everything we were wanting to experience. Highly recommend. Would stay here again in a heartbeat
The Bear Den was the perfect accommodation for us. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans and appliances. It felt like a second home! Location was a short drive from Nelson but we appreciated the quietness and rural vibe. There was plenty of parking for our two vehicles. We would love to stay here again!

The "Bear Den" was a beautiful home in a quiet area of Nelson BC. The home has lots of character and charm and the hosts of the property are extremely friendly and accommodating.
We came to Nelson to celebrate a milestone birthday as a mini winter getaway. We’ve never travelled to Nelson in fall or winter months and this property was amazing and so comfortable and homey. I cannot wait to come back again one day! Thank you Scott and Jessica for sharing your beautiful home
Could not ask for more relaxing getaway this weekend! This little updated cabin felt like home. Very peacefully tucked up along private driveway on a beautiful property. Very quiet and absolutely beautiful with a dusting of snow. Located about 15 minutes from town. It was the perfect distance away for us to drive in for dinner and adventures. Highly recommend staying here!
Well appointed clean property. The house had everything we needed fpr our family of 4. High end everything including lovely shampoos and hand soaps. The kitchen was well set up and had everything we needed to cook family meals. Great stay. The car port was handy to store our bikes and SUPs. fafamily meald.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Many beaches to choose from, some only a couple minutes away. Lots of other activities nearby too. We couldn't fit them all in!! The property itself is like a little piece of heaven and we sure appreciated our welcoming hosts. They were keen to let us know about all the area has to offer and they looked after us very well. Highly recommend this place and we definately hope to be back again soon!!

Thank you Carla, we enjoyed having you and your family stay, and really do hope to see you all again in the future.
The Bear Dean was the perfect place to return to after spending our days snowmobiling nearby. The home is welcoming, roomy and fresh. Where your thing is conversation in the living room or boardgames at the dining table, the space offered plenty of room to gather and have fun. We were able to easily park two full-size pickup trucks on site, both with sled decks that take up extra space. The hosts were helpful in answering questions from the beginning and promptly returned a call during our stay--super helpful folks.
We had a wonderful stay at The Bear Den. Scott and Jessica are fantastic hosts who have put a lot of thought into making their space welcoming and comfortable. The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering all the amenities we could possibly need. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the fresh cut flowers and eco-friendly soaps, shampoo, and lotion. The cozy wood stove was perfect for the colder or rainy evenings. We especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoor green space where we played badminton, relaxed in the sun, and harvested herbs from the garden. The location is great, with close proximity to Nelson, several beaches and Kokanee Creek Provincial Park. Scott and Jessica were excellent communicators, highly accommodating and extremely hospitable - genuinely kind, salt of the earth people. Our stay was truly a home-away-from home experience, we look forward to returning to The Bear Den in the future! Thank you Scott and Jessica for making us feel so welcome in your home.
