You'll have the time of your life when you and your family vacation in 'The Palms'. This delightful home is filled with casual, comfortable furniture. It sits on a spacious 1/2 acre forest lot in the center of Bald Head Island: just minutes by golf cart from the beach, Harbor Village and the Maritime Market shopping area.

Bald Head is accessible only by passenger ferry or private boat. Visitors and residents travel around the island by golf cart, bicycle or on foot.

The use of two golf carts are included in your rental fee
*Owner is not responsible for any out of service or maintenance issues with these items and they are provided as a courtesy along with the home not contingent on rental home pricing. Tenant is responsible for any damage, loss, or misuse of these items.

LOTS OF ROOM
The spacious, open floor-plan provides plenty of room for up to 10 guests. The first floor living room opens into the dining area with the deluxe kitchen just beyond. The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all the equipment you need.

Double doors open from the dining area to the large screened porch and the deck area equipped with a propane grill. The first floor bedroom and bathroom suite is furnished with a queen bed and can be closed off from the rest of the downstairs area.

The master bedroom has a king size bed. It opens onto a private balcony with a tree house view of the maritime forest. The third bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. The fourth bedroom contains a queen and set of bunk beds. Each bedroom is decorated in a beach cottage motif. The bathrooms are finished with granite countertops and custom tile work.

'The Palms' is stocked with books, videos, games and puzzles in case a rain cloud passes by.

LOTS TO DO
Your vacation will have a temporary membership to the Shoals Club available. The Club has a full-size pool, fitness center. It also has a poolside snack bar and a more formal restaurants. Beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas are available as part of the membership. It is of course optional but we highly encourage all renters to take advantage of this impressive club.

Bald Head Island's 14 miles of beaches can be accessed at any of the 42 public beach entrances. We provide everything you need for a day of fun: boogie boards, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach towels.

You can also rent kayaks to explore the Island's creeks, bicycle to the Harbor for an outdoor lunch at MOJO's, take a hike along one of the Island's nature trails, or enjoy a relaxing day at the newly-opened Spa next to the Maritime Market. You'll be just minutes away from all of the amenities by golf cart.

Our home is a non-smoking home and pets are considered.

It’s a great location your in the middle so convenient area for all the things to do. House was spacious and met our needs. Having the golf carts was a plus as well. Would stay again.

Beach with family

We had a great time at this property, steps away from the beautiful beach. Lots of grills, beach toys, room for everyone to hang out. Nice sheets and pillows too (which is important to me, haha) The kitchen was well-equipped too

We had a wonderful time on the island and the house was beautiful. It could use a little work on the outside of the house but the inside was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Palms with friends & family over Mother's Day weekend and had the most amazing time! Not wildly advertised, but the house came with a guest membership to the Shoals Club, which was absolutely perfect! I'd book this specific house again over & over again.

Great family vacation

We had an amazing week with our two children, their spouses and our 4 children ages 10 to 18. The house has a very nice living area and was in excellent condition. Beaches were very accessible and the store and shops were close to the house. Highly recommend this rental.

The house was perfect, and just as described in VRBO - no surprises. It had everything you would need for a good week of vacation with a large family. We were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of Bald Head. The home is very convenient to the local grocery - which was a huge plus for a big family. Highly recommend this property for your consideration at Bald Head.

The only two things we didn't like were the tv's in the master bedroom didn't work and the internet was very slow and spotty. Overall loved the house, swings, porches and location!

Great Times!

We had a great time! The house is beautiful; prettier than the video. We grilled hotdogs one night and had no problems with the grill. The screened porch was awesome too and we ate out there several times. House was extra clean and spacious! Everything was very nice; couldn't have been better! Would highly recommend!

Location and house great. Plenty of space for family. Appreciate Dominic’s accessibility and response time. Small issue with golf cart, but think it was prior guests not properly charging. Couldn’t use any of the bikes, but easily rented some. Would stay here again.

Owner was very responsive with questions and information. Having never been to BHI I called a few times before our trip and he was very helpful. The house was awesome and provided plenty of space and seating for our family of 7. The kitchen is well equipped for us to cook meals at home. We loved sitting on the front porch and all of the foliage around us! The golf carts worked perfectly. We took a few bike rides but a couple of the bikes could use some maintenance work. Dominic had warned me that by the end of the season he is not always aware of the condition of bicycles. Check in was super easy.

Everything we hoped for

The Palms was a well-appointed, centrally located oasis on Bald Head Island. The house is in great condition and well maintained, with an open layout, updated kitchen, spacious rooms, and a wraparound front porch that made for great sitting. Any complaints would be nit-picking. It checked all the boxes and I would not hesitate to rent this property again or recommend it to my friends.

Photos are dated - upkeep of the house exterior living spaces is not in line with photos. The exterior requires cleaning to be able to utilize the spaces. Interior was nice and as expected. House has the basics but lacks some of the items that are normal to most houses in Bald Head. A refresh would be helpful.

Great house in great location

I have always rented with an ocean view. Every house I've been to at BHI has been lovely. I really loved the location and peacefulness of this one. In fact my preference is to now stay in this area versus the beach. The location is close to everything. The kids loved the freedom of getting on their bikes and riding places. I absolutely loved the porch options. The houses I've stayed in previously had porches but they were too sunny or buggy to enjoy for long. This house had the perfect porches. I spent each morning on them reading my book in peace. We had a flat tire on a golf cart and the owner was immediately accessible and fixed the issue. So happy we chose this house.

The biggest issue was the golf carts. One was deemed unsafe to drive by public safety. Neither had updated stickers which were paid for but we had to go get. The homeowner did replace the unsafe cart but not before we had rented a cart and we had to go and get the cart which we were happy to do. The outdoors definitely needed some repairs but inside everything worked. The beds could use new mattresses. There was a spacious pantry which was nice. It was nice to have a screened in deck and another deck not screened in. Bikes were decent.
