We booked the Muriwai house for our gender reveal and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The view was breathtaking — you can see the ocean right from the deck! The main house is spacious with 3 bedrooms, and the 2 cabins were perfect for extra guests. Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up. We especially loved the heated pool — such a nice touch! Perfect spot for families or groups to relax and enjoy the view. Highly recommend!
Amazing place to stay! Gorgeous home, clean and comfortable. Breathtaking views, the deck was the place to be to soak it all in. Antonia was an amazing host!
Stunning view. Perfect home base while exploring locally and, everyone loved the pool!

The reason for the low rating was that the front Door and garage door didn’t close securely so safety was concern. The cleanliness of the property was a large factor, the shower head had green mould in it along with a strange odour in the kitchen and other minor things. I attempted to reach out to the owners and was told I would be compensated for the inconvenience however have not heard anything back after providing my bank details. The highlights for me were the Pool, the amazing View and the two cabins. If the cleanliness of the property changed especially in the kitchen, sheets and bathroom and locks on both the front and garage door were replaced I would come back. The property itself if not the issue it’s the maintenance and security that I found alarming.

Thank you for your feedback. We take safety and cleanliness very seriously, and our property is fully secure with all doors and locks functioning properly. We also work with a professional cleaning company and have not received similar concerns, maintaining consistent 5-star reviews during our busy season.

This place is an absolute paradise for families, especially those with primary to intermediate-aged kids. What stood out immediately was the space. The house is incredibly spacious with great flow, making it easy for everyone to spread out. The air-conditioning was a huge bonus over summer and made a real difference to comfort and sleep. The pool was a standout and a genuine highlight. It’s salt water, beautifully warm, and everything needed was provided, including a dolphin pool cleaner. We did need to do a filter clean before first use and cleaned the pool daily, which felt reasonable for a bach setting. The outdoor area gets fantastic sun and is a lovely place to spend time. A shade umbrella beside the pool would be a great addition due to high sun exposure.Inside, the house was clean, tidy, and very welcoming. There are multiple living areas, which works perfectly for families or groups, allowing people to relax in different spaces without disruption. The BBQ was great to have for outdoor meals, although it did need a decent clean, which is fairly standard for a holiday bach.We didn’t use the cabins, but they would be ideal for larger groups. While they get warm during the day, the West Coast Muriwai evenings cool down nicely. The view is breathtaking and easily one of the best around Muriwai, creating an instant wow factor on arrival. Overall, a beautiful, well-equipped holiday bach in a stunning location that we’d happily return to.

Extremely disappointing
Property was dirty, dirty dishes left in oven, oven unclean could not use TV in Chinese, driveway is tricky with busy road - general upkeep of house is not at all what the photos reflect. Dishwasher left water all over floor, gas hob not working and oven not working along with dirty.
