The first thing I have to mention is the excellent staff. Every one of them was polite, attentive and helpful and communicated well in spite of the language barrier. I didn’t speak a word of French but they did their best to communicate in English and they did a great job. Garden and City has lots of common spaces to hang around after a hard day of hiking. Most lodgings in Cauterets do not have common spaces. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. There is an in-house laundromat. Located in the center of town. Pricing was reasonable. I would highly recommend this place.

Great, clean and functional accommodation. Especially liked the outdoor pool & the fact you are right in the centre of the town.

Nice central place in Cauterets. Only problem is the parking situation if you didn’t reserve in advance.

Great location. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly. Don’t pay for parking as there is free parking at the bottom of the road in the big car park.
The outdoor pool was so unclean. It was apparently closed which was a surprise in Sunmer and during a heatwave but we were not informed of this. There were some residents jumping into it and I’d imagine they would have been poorly next day! Although the rooms were clean, the balconies were really dirty. We can to clean the surfaces to be able to lean on them. There were no chairs to sit out which was a shame. There was space in front of the balcony which had all broken glass and an old poor towel that had been left. Not nice to look onto. Our superior double had a coffee machine but in the 3 days we were there we only got two pods and they didn’t get restock each day. Same for the bottle of water. When we asked at reception we reluctantly got a further two.
Overall a good hotel with a great location. Attention to detail could be better.

Disliked: Check-in
The property is in an excellent location and has a lot of potential... However, we found the value for money to be unsuitable. Specifically, breakfast was not included, nor was the possibility of using the pool the next morning because its opening time coincides with check-out time. So, we used the spa the night before for a short time and noticed that both the sensory and tropical showers, as well as the spa water, were a bit cold or not properly regulated. Furthermore, the tiny bedroom, suitable for only one person, didn't have enough space to open two suitcases, and there wasn't even air conditioning. We arrived on particularly hot days despite being in the mountains, and the balcony didn't have a chair or a table... there was a fan that was taking up unnecessary space. Furthermore, in the bathroom, we found a buildup from a previous stay, and there were handprints on the headboard.
We had to rent towels to go to the spa, paying for them separately.
At check-in, they couldn't explain how the outdoor parking worked, as their indoor parking is paid anyway, so you might get confused.
We also had to wait too much to get our room keys.

Property is good, but the outside pool wasn’t open and area around it not cared for much which we were looking forward to.
Inside Spa was very good though.
Took a while to get the deposit credited back to my account.
UbicaciĂłn ideal para hacer excursiones.
Tiendas, restaurantes, mercado y supermercados en la misma calle.
Limpio y completo.
Ideal para pasar unos dĂas.
