Overall, my stay at WAM by Karma was very enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous, and the property is well maintained. The staff were one of the highlights of the experience—always attentive, responsive, and eager to assist with anything we needed.
The main reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to an issue on the first day. I arrived before the official check-in time and had breakfast with my girlfriend. After we had already finished eating, I was informed that I would be charged for breakfast because I had not yet checked in. Breakfast was included with my stay, and had this been communicated beforehand, I would have politely declined. Having traveled extensively, I have never encountered a hotel charging guests for breakfast under these circumstances. The lack of transparency was disappointing and left a poor first impression.
One other thing worth noting is that the hotel is quite isolated from most of the attractions and restaurants around Bodrum. While this is not the hotel’s fault, guests planning to explore the area frequently may find it more convenient to rent a car rather than rely on taxis.
Aside from the breakfast situation, the property, rooms, and service were all excellent.
