Cowboys and Angels Retreat offers 9 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors, and features DVD players and a hairdryer. What a cozy, clean, quiet and amazing spot to rest on a road trip on way to Big Bend. This place was amazing. It had everything. I could definitely spend a weekend here. They had everything! Was an oasis getaway. You wouldn't need to leave if you brought your own food to cook or grill.

It's good value for the price. It's a cool cabin experience. This property isn't as big as you'd think and it's enclosed. The deer roaming around were cool. And I got excellent cellular reception. The $25 pizza with 2 cans of coke was a bit of a let down. The pizza was good but it's TINY. Overall 4/5. Good value.

This place is adorable! It was a quick stay, we arrived shortly after 3:00 and headed out at 8:30, but we made the most of our time. The cabin was clean and well kept. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out.

We absolutely love this place. The Property manager Omar and his wife are such amazing people. We truly feel like family when we come here. The property is so relaxing. There is a nice walking trail, it's quiet, the cottages are cozy and well stocked with everything you need, there is a pool and Jacuzzi as well.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

This was a weekend trip to celebrate our 55th anniversary. We wanted a quiet place to relax and this was perfect. Our cabin was decorated so cute, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner kept the cabin nice & cool. We enjoyed the pool and watching the many deer on the property. This is located about 15 minutes from Kerrville and we did go there one evening for a nice dinner at 5 D Steakhouse.

We stayed in the Gunslinger. Property was beautiful, quiet, relaxing, well maintained, clean, and provided all the essential basic kitchen utensils and tools. We grilled out and had a nice camp fire. we were the only guests in a cabin the night we stayed, but the cabins are quite close together, so I’m not sure we’d choose this location during a busy weekend, but would be ideal for big group events.
