Lots of history of the university and champions from the history of OU. Property is old and although some of the decor in the rooms are new, the amenities, carpeting, and general condition of the property are poor. I would only recommend this place if you are a teenager and you don’t mind walking on sticky carpet. People there are really nice and generally care about their customers.

Older property
Very old looking property. Nothing special for the price. It did have good bacon for breakfast
I had no problem AT ALL with this motel. According to the woman from Expedia, it was the only one open at the time of night I needed it. I was caught in the freezing rain, snow storm early A.M. of 2-5-20. southeast of O.K.C. The driving conditions prevented me from arriving until 4 A.M.
The manager on duty got me checked in, though Expedia had not confirmed the room, and let me have a late check out, as I could not be on the road again till 2:30 P.M. the next day. I would have no problem staying there again. The motel is a little bit older but the staff hospitality more than makes up for that. Frankly, the motel itself was just as good or better than some of the newer motels I've stayed in because of the staff. HUGE parking lot to park my pickup and trailer, and plenty of rooms. Easy access to I-35. Thanks again to the night manager for making a nightmare of a night a whole lot better.
Was a great place to stay very close to everything!!

Feels like you’re on the team!
Great Sooner themed hotel. I was told there was a Jim Ross themed room, but the person at the counter said she didn’t know. I guess I’ll have to come back and find out if there really is.
On property website and booking sites no mention that bar is only open Fridays and Saturdays. The bar is poorly stocked {eg, only two gins, one of which I have never heard of}. The bedside reading lamp is controlled by a wall switch near the door, a nuisance is you want to read before bed. The bathtub/shower has no soap/shampoo/washcloth shelves. On the positive, the woman at the reception was very helpful in getting me a ground floor room as there is no lift and I am on the not-so-young side {though I can manage stairs without enthusiasm.
We arrived Friday afternoon after playing 18 holes of golf in the heat, checked into our room and turned the a/c down to the lowest setting only to find out that the a/c wasn’t working properly. Called the front desk 4 times over the 2 night stay asking if they could send someone up to look at the a/c. Nobody ever showed up and we were left trying to sleep while sweating. Also the room floor looked as if it hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile. There were nail clippings on the carpet and they were from us. This hotel was not cheap for the weekend as it is football season which I understand but for the money I paid we should have been able to be comfortable.
Room was clean. Very little outside noise. Beds were comfortable. morning meal was very good. Only negative, there was micro wave in room. enjoyed all the pictures.
Great location, in close proximity to the University of Oklahoma. I’m not an OU fan, but the hotel has some really cool OU sports memorabilia throughout. Hot, fresh breakfast with real eggs, bacon, ham, sausage and breakfast potatoes. There are also a few cereal, yogurt and bread options. Staff was super courteous. I got the 2 room suite and it was very spacious with 2 queen beds in one room and a sofa and table in the living room. The 2 bathrooms were handy as well! The hotel is a little dated, but well worth the money for our purposes!
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was clean, the weekend breakfast was pretty good.
