This hotel was literally across the street from Kyoto Station so it was convenient for transportation access, shopping and restaurants. Rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean for four night stay for family of four adults. Excellent staff, clean laundry area. This was the 3rd Mimaru hotel in Japan that we've stayed in and we have always had a great stay!!!

The experience of living in the hotel was great, despite they had an hot-water outage issue, options and recommendations were well communicated, ended up everything went quite well and smoothly. We loved our stay at this hotel and found it a great base to explore Kyoto with our two children. Rooms were perfect for a family of 4, clean and well equipped. Great view of the shinkansens out the window, lovely friendly staff and super easy access to the station.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mimaru. The Kyoto Station location was a short walking distance from the train station. Mitsu at the front desk was super helpful. The staff all spoke great English. The beds were on the firm side if that is something you prefer.
