Spacious, clean hotel located in an excellent part of Kyoto. It was close to several transit options and within walking distance to major shopping areas and Nishiki Market. Highly recommend and will return again to the Mimaru Shijo.

This was outstanding customer service. From the moment we were greeted, we felt well cared for. Games for the kiddos, happy hour with sake and beer, tables for a morning coffee. The rooms were excellent and very spacious for our family of four. Highly recommend the location as well. A quick walk to with lots to do in the area:)

Perfect for families. Very toddler-friendly and the whole apartment/building was clean and well-designed. We especially loved having the in-unit laundry especially before heading out to our next destination!

Our family of four loved having a two bedroom and two bathroom suite. With a washing machine/dryer in our room also! The hotel was quiet and the staff were helpful. The early evening happy hours with draft beer and sakes were a nice touch to come back to after a heavy day of sightseeing. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic hotel, especially for families traveling through Kyoto for a few days or more. Beyond amazing staff that helped us find truly amazing and non tourist restaurants and locations to visit. Fantastic experience.

Clean and spacious rooms with everything you need. Close to shops, 7 Eleven and plenty of restaurants and bakeries nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Room was great for our family of five and within close walking distance to Nishiki market but also far enough away that it was very quiet.. We explored the market early one morning which was great. Host at the front desk made a great recommendation for a tonkatsu which we loved so much we visited twice during our stay!!
