Wonderful Place! The views were amazing. There were so many animals to see. The beach at Stokes Bay is within walking distance and it is GREAT. I hope to come back soon.

The property was very clean, excellently equiped and very comfortable! Views of Stokes Bay were fantastic and the wildlife was plentiful and very friendly. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Amazing to wake up each day with kangaroos outside your door. All the facilities one needs to have a nice quiet vacation. Wonderfully responsive and friendly hosts.

Whilst all of Kangaroo Island is beautiful, Waves and Wildlife delivers when it comes to peace and quiet and engaging with nature. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. A beautiful location overlooking Stokes Bay with abundant wildlife at your door

Paul, Katja and Poppy made us welcome from the moment we arrived, and the experience was more than we expected. The cabin we stayed in had spectacular views and an abundance of wildlife visiting us at the cabin. A great experience. Highly recommend anyone to book a few days if you want to get away, experience nature, relax and enjoy the surroundings, including a beach cove. Its also a great place to access all attractions on the island or if you want to just have a spot to stay and relax. We will definitely be coming back. Rob & Cindy A

What a great little hideaway from reality! The nature and surrounds were just incredible. Great little cottage although our stove and oven didn't work well or at all on some occasions, and this proved a little difficult as there are no surrounding cafes or restaurants. I completely understand its been a tough few years for all though. We would definitely return. Many thanks Katja and Paul, you are wonderful hosts.

Stokes Bay, and thus the cabins, is isolated. Situated on the cliff face, looking north, one is surrounded by silence and peace, mixed with dozens of kangaroos and even some sheep. Nearby is the only restaurant, sadly open only till 5 pm; so bring your own food or consider a drive to Kingcote (sadly with roo-danger for the nightly return. We stayed three nights to have a holiday… make daytime excursions and enjoy evenings at the cabin. Highly recommended, but not if you expect action!

What a stunning experience! I loved waking up to so many kangaroos and dragonflies each morning, walking down to the beach and having a coffee at the rockpool cafe. Paul & Katja were great hosts and the self contained unit was just perfect for our needs. I would definitely recommend!

We liked it very much for the location n wanted to give 5 star as everything was so ready/provided. But 2 issues I have to mention, the toilet lock was not working/ in useable and the windows blinds- all are broken . The towels are very old too, Need to change ASAP. And the second issue was the smell from the swears. We stayed at number 7 and the bio swear system is just 30 metres away… every evening probably all the units using the shower and toilet then the smell comes out. Please don’t stay at number 7. Other than that all the cutleries, pots , pans , plate , glass everything is Perfect. Giving 3 out of 5 but we Will come here again.

Fabulous view and out of the way. Just how we like it. The name depicts accurately this little gem. Waves and wildlife in abundance. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great value for money.

Excellent emplacement au milieu des kangourous

Excellent emplacement pour cette hôtel au bord d’une falaise sur la mer et entourée de kangourous. Bungalows spacieux de trois chambres et un salon cuisine. Les enfants notamment ont adoré pouvoir nourrir les kangourous. Accueil sympathique avec œufs,miel et chocolat. Pas de wi fi mais réception réseau portable.

The combination of the house and the surrounding was perfect for us. The terrace with its view is fantastic. The amount of kangaroos and the possibility to see them so close was overwhelming.

Amazing place to stay. The wild life was very friendly and large in number. Unit was well appointed with everything you could need. you need to self cater as there is no available option for eating out.

Prima Lage und Ausstattung

Sehr schöne Lage. Perfekt durchdachte Austattung..Viele Kängurus vor derTerasse.. Es empfiehlt sich , vor der Anreise Verpflegung einzukaufen, da das in der Nähe befindliche Restaurant nur von Donnerstag bis Sonntag geöffnet hat. Auf der Terasse befindet sich ein Gasgrill für das abendliche Steak.
