Our weekend at the holiday house was a serene escape to a beautiful location with expansive views. From the warm welcome by host Jey to the thoughtful extra gifts, our stay was made memorable by his hospitality. While the house showed signs of age and could benefit from some maintenance, it did not overshadow the peaceful atmosphere and stunning surroundings. Overall, our experience was delightful, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful for the tranquil getaway. Thank you, Jey, for a wonderful stay!

Easy going communication with the host. Loads of space inside and out. Our 5yr old loved it so much he wanted to live there haha. Heaps of games and things to do.

With just a short walk down to the beach, the location is great! Nice and tidy home. We enjoyed our stay.

As always, an entirely relaxing, peaceful hideaway. A quaint, rustic 'çottage' - well separated from the owner's home, with an idyllic view of a waterfall and forest. Left to ourselves (just how we like it) but only 2 minutes drive from the Matakana township.

This was just such an ideal place for a short break away from Auckland and for a quiet and peaceful way to bring in the New Year. The accommodation is quaint and has an interesting history which made it even more appealing. Everything you needed and our hosts Morrae, Trevor and Polly (the dog) were lovely.

Such a great place. We loved the peace & quiet - although there is a small road between the bach and beach, during our stay just 2 or 3 vehicles a day used this (Monday to Friday, don't know about the weekends). - We walked in the door and on the bench was a folder telling us all we needed to know about the bach and the area in general. And also there is a folder containing the handbooks for each appliance. So helpful! - For us, one of the variables of staying in a place new to us is the taste/quality of drinking water. These guys have a water purifier. - Water pressure in the shower is one of the best we have had. - A 10 minute drive to Matakana where we discovered two artisan bakeries and good coffees was a real bonus. - We never attempt to repeat a holiday experience, we love discovering new places, but we are seriously considering a return visit here. - We are in awe of people who are happy to share their personal space with us.

I wonderful little spot. Great views. All the essentials to feel right at home. Will recommend and will be back for our next weekend escape.
