We really enjoyed out stay. It was very peaceful and private.We walked to the beach when we arrived. It is not an easy walk and is very steep in places. It could be a great place to have a picnic or relax next to the river. We wanted to swim and found the water level a bit low for that. Nut if you want to paddle in the water it's great. Wear aquasocks as the beach and riverbed are stony.The location was great. Far enough away that we were out of cellphine range There is wifi if you don't want to be cut off and it is a short drive to civilisation, ie Martinborough. There is a lovely farm store just down the road that is open on the weekends. Fresh produce, home baking and suprisingly good coffee. I bought some olive oil and coffee beans (roasted locally) to bring home. I asked if they had berries and they went and picked some so they were super fresh! I could rave some more but it's best you try it for yourself.I would definitely like to come and stay again.

The house is amazing! Super comfortable beds and pillows it was like staying at a hotel. Will absolutely go back there, perfect place for a peaceful break with amazing views of the vineyards.

We never knew this place existed but we will definitely be back. If you are looking a place to get away from it all and relax, then this is the place to be. Warm, spacious, beautiful, lovely grounds and in winter the huge fireplace. You can explore the Wairarapa coast or just relax in front of the fire.
