Silence is golden

Peaceful, quiet, private, and funky. Outdoor bath is a gem. The beds are super comfy. The birdlife is outstanding. There's natives of course, but the peacocks - along with a brash crackle of cockatoos - are outstanding to watch.

Spent a few days at this property and I must say it’s the best rented house we have stayed in. Was spotless lovely beds and clean linen, duvets etc. would recommend this property to anyone looking at staying in Whanganui. Couldn’t fault it. Mary

A retro escape from the city in a charming old cottage.

The property was exactly as described - a beautiful little 1915 original cottage decorated in the old NZ bach style right across the road from a fabulous West Coast driftwood covered beach.Beach great for the dog as well as having a fully fenced back yard at the cottage.Very well looked after & generous hosts have left out records, toys, books for guests to make use of.Stayed for 5 days & loved it.
