South Waikato District pet-friendly rentals

The Shed was roomy and comfortable with great entertainment (pool table, games, tv, books, feeding the animals), good breakfast provided, a lovely park next door and so close to town (lots of dining options) and also handy to Hobbiton, golf, hot pools. Maria was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and was so helpful with our dogs - we really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed as two families with two large, furry dogs over a rainy weekend and absolutely loved it. The accommodation was well appointed for two families, with everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. The kids had a fantastic time in the games room every night, completely unplugged from their devices. The property was secure, spacious, and very easy to manage with the dogs, thanks to a huge private backyard. Overall, a perfect spot for families and pets alike — highly recommended!

Luxury stay

We had a lovely time staying here. Gorgeous home, clean and with everything you need. Amazing that it is fully fenced so we could let our dog safely potter about. Highly recommend

We weren't quite sure what to expect, as we are not normally into the glamping style of accommodation. But we loved every bit of what this place had to offer. Peaceful, no TV, surrounded by nature, over looking lake, fishing rod, kayaks, BBQ, selection of fresh produce on arrival, no neighbours anywhere close, what more could you want for serious downtime. Being a bus it has 'bus' sized amenities so you have to be prepared for that. Having said that it had a full sized very comfortable bed. Also has bunks available. Being located in the middle of nature be prepared to have a few bugs, birds, rabbits etc running around, but that all adds to the charm. Loads of flat area for the kids to run around on or even the family dog (remember it is a working farm). We will be back next time we need more unwind time.
