Holiday rentals near Manu Bay Nature Reserve

The moment we stepped in the door, we were blown away by the cleanliness, the use of space, and the incredible shower (with the shower head being nick-named Godzilla by us). The view was the most amazing welcome, closely followed by discovering the local treats in the fridge. Far enough, yet not too far from Raglan, meant that we could enjoy the great local coffee and then escape the crowds by driving back along gravel roads (along the coast and around Mt Karioi).It was the perfect location for a quiet weekend for us (after dropping the teenagers to Sound Splash)- from reading on the couch, in between wee jaunts out, through to hot chocolates (with the local milk) under the stars on the deck. Whether you are wanting to hide away from the crowds (yet go and grab a coffee) for a couple of days, or somewhere relaxing to head back to after a day of swimming, surfing, or meandering around the coast, we cannot recommend Sue and John’s place enough.

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet contemporary location. Close driving proximity to township and beach. We enjoyed the walks and the wood burner kept the whole place warm and cosy in the evening. We enjoyed the board games and the ability for outdoor fresco meals.

A wonderful relaxing stay - two decks and a spacious modern design meant we loved being in the house. Great view of the south limb of the harbour and sunsets and easy walk to town. Highly recommended.
