Place needs a proper heater, it was very humid and cold in the morning and the electric fireplace kept tripping the circuit breaker. Cooking is almost impossible, there is no stove. Utensiles, plates and cups were very basic and missing things like a wine bottle opener.

Just okay
The host was gracious to stock the kitchen with eggs water and milk for breakfast. The check in process could be improved. We contacted the host ahead of time with a specific arrival time, but he waited for us to arrive and call before he left to greet us. We waited in the car for about half an hour before he arrived. Our main issue was that we had no hot water in the shower. We were nice and smelly when we got to the next hotel. It is a cute cabin though. Think of it more like camping. The setting is really pretty. I loved al the trees and the privacy.
Beautiful setting in a good location. Check in could improve.
Loved the cabin and the setting. Clean and comfortable with amazing forest views. Getting checked in was a bit of a process. Have to call a property manager who drives out to the cabin to let you in. We arrived at check in time and waited almost an hour to be let into the cabin. Call well ahead of arrival time.
Otherwise a good stay and a great value.
The house worked out. We used it as out base for Monteverde/Santa Elena. It's a short drive to town and there's a nice restaurant and a grocery store nearby. Monteverde was windy while we were there (it often is I am told) and there was some tree noise in the house, but it was safe and comfortable.
Beautiful cabin among the trees. Our cabin #1 was two stories, the beds being upstairs. Floor to ceiling glass windows all around
Ronald was very responsive and helpful. Anytime I sent messages through Vrbo I got a prompt response. Quiet, private and comfortable.
We absolutely loved it here! A friendly place, hosted by a wonderful and beautiful family. Tracy was an amazing hostess, and is a great cook! She truly made this place feel like home, and is the nicest person you will ever meet. Thank you for everything ❤️
This cabin feels like it’s remote and isolated, but is very close to everything in Monteverde/Santa Elena. We loved the “tree house “ feel and enjoyed the afternoon downpours from the covered patio. The property manager/hostess -Tracy - was extremely friendly and helpful and breakfasts were wonderful! I would suggest upgrading the pillows and the patio seating from stools to chairs, but we would highly recommend this property!

Peace and Quiet Hijacked by the Neighbor Digs
Darling little cabin in the woods, perched in the trees. The problem was not the rental - it’s where it is located. Five or six dogs on the neighboring property barked all night (first night of our stay). Barked
incessantly the morning of the second night and started up the morning of our departure. Ended up fashioning earplugs from toilet paper to try to get some relief. The bed is quite hard and lacks a mattress cover. The hosts are delightful, helpful and most hospitable. Authentic, generous breakfast each morning was a delight. I hate to complain because I want the hosts to have tremendous success, but the non-stop barking had us eager for the end of our stay. Truly wish I could give it 5-stars - but I can’t
The cabin was in a very private setting amongst the trees. It was immaculate and well equipped. Even more special were the owners/family. I recommend staying. I would stay there again.

Perfect!
Everything about the house, location, and family that owns/runs the cabin (if you can call it that-it’s certainly not rustic but modern and lovely) is fantastic! We were helped with booking tours, had lovely conversations in English and Spanish, given advice on touring the country, and even provided an amazing breakfast! I cannot recommend this place enough (in fact, I’ve already sent some friends information about staying here), and I will be back with additional family members!
